I decided to try saving some money by changing the oil myself in my 2004 545 BMW. This filter was about half the price of what the auto shop wanted for their brand. It fit perfectly and I had no problems with it.

It's an oil filter, so it fit and worked so no complaints. The large rubber o-ring seemed a bit larger than it should, but it worked and no leaks.

It works with my wife's BMW 645ci convertible, n62 engine, E64 body style, and manufactured in June of 2004. Don't forget to change out all of the expansion rights and oil rings. As you know, BMW's leak like the SR-71 Blackbird when not in flight.

I've been told these brand of filters are OEM for BMW E65/66 7 series and other BMWs that utilize the N62 V8.

For half the price others charge it's the only filter I buy for my cars. I also use Castrol 06249 EDGE 5W-40 SPT Synthetic Motor Oil which meets BMW long life standards.
