I'll keep this short and simple.
I have an aftermarket gauge cluster on my 250r which monitors the oil temperature. Over the past three years or so, I've tried a few different brands of oil out of curiosity. Now I understand there are many factors in oil temperature, but my oil temp measurements were consistently lower than any other brand I tried with this oil installed. I tried to compare it on similar rides on days with similar temperatures and humidity.
Really, the only 'problem' I can come up with is that since the oil is purple and the bottle is purple, it's difficult to read how much oil you've poured via the sight in the bottle. Nit picky, I know.

Awesome performance in my bike. Engine runs smoother and stays cooler too. Exceeded my expectation for my motorcycle. Will use again next oil change.

Good brand. Consumer version of a popular racing oil. I use this for summer and 10W30 for winter. More expensive than other brands but you are paying for peace of mind. One of the top brands in terms of wear test. I use this brand in my truck too. If you want the cheaper ones just make sure you change oil regularly.

I have been using royal purple for about twelve thousand miles now. I used castrol R4T prior and had a noisy transmission when i shifted gears. Switched to Royal Purple no more noice. I will probably use this the rest of the time i have this bike. Yes i recommend it to my friends.

I just picked up a new crf 450x. After break in I switched to royal purple because if reviews. After putting it In I didn't notice any change in the engine but I noticed the clutch dragging, sticking ,and being real jerky. I thought maybe ill keep it in maybe it needs broke in . It only had 10 hours on it 5 on the new oil. After changing the oil every race or just about every 5 ours at 30 hours the clutch was sticking so bad it wouldn't start or roll I'm gear. I took everything apart and checked it all. So I decided its time to change oils. Switched to 10-40 hp4m from Honda with moly In The engine side could t believe the difference In engine noise quieted way down. And switched to Honda hp4 In the clutch wow what a difference no more sticky clutch. I will never use royal purple again
