Reviews of Melling M167HVS Oil Pump Jeep 87-95
I installed this on my 2000 Wrangler 4.0L. In order to fit TJ model 242's, you have to clearance the pan in two locations. One at the bottom of the sump and the other where the pump mounts, the pan sort of bulges out. It only required about 1/4" additional clearance which I was able to get using a ball peen hammer and just hitting in those two locations for a little while. Great high quality pump, don't look anywhere else if you need a high volume oil pump.Works as it should and oil everything much better than the stock pump I had in my Jeep Cherokee. If your looking for a high flow oil pump; look no further.
