This oil was recommended by a local race shop for my Yamaha R1. I had been using Motul 5100 and liked it. I contacted Motul directly and spoke with their service department. I ended up going with 10W40 300v during a rebuild of the bike. After having used the bike on the road with this oil, I'm really impressed with how smoothly the gear box shifts. Also, this is a double ester oil, which helps the oil stick to the surfaces; this helps protect the motor at start up, etc. As long as you don't push the oil much past 3000 miles on the street, I think running 300v is worth the extra money for the protection is provides.

I have been using this since 2004, and love it. Originally I got this because of reviews from a motorcycle magazine claiming extra horse power and smoother shifting. I did get dynos done before and after and sure enough it added between 2.5 to 5 hp on my R1. The stuff comes out green and smells like honey.

Great oil! Transmission shifts very smooth! Engine seems to be running a little bit cooler. Definately reccommended. Have used Repsol full synthetic in the past. Also Great Oil!

Motul 300V was without any doubt one of the best ...if not the best ...synthetic oil I have used. It has exceed by far what I was expecting or hoping for. The bottle itself is a great durable container appropiate for shipment and usage. Overall I have found the best oil for my motorcycle.

I use this oil for my honda cbr600rr and i think is the best oil for sports bikes !!!recommend to anyone who want good oil for their engine !!!
