In my 2008 Honda Civic Si (197 hp), 4 door 6 speed manual, I routinely get 33 mpg on highway-only travel @ 70 mph. EPA rated 29 mpg hwy.
In a 2006 Honda Civic EX 2 door 5 speed manual, my friend routinely gets 41 mpg on highway-only travel. EPA rated 34mpg hwy. (My friend drives a little slower than I do.)
Please note the the mileage figures are with Liqui Moly in synthetic oil.
Even if the mileage wasn't better, I know enough about MoS2 properties to believe it reduces friction and wear-and-tear, protecting the longevity of the engine. (Look up Molybdenum Disulfide on Wikipedia.) This is especially important since the "improved" API/ILSAC oil specs reduce the amount of zinc and phosphorous anti-wear additives.
Moly disulfide is used extensively by the military, and by NASA for space missions. It's also used by European auto makers. In the US, we want our oil to look like honey. Liqui Moly does make your oil very black, so if you don't change your oil, be prepared for comments from whoever services your car.
By the way, I never got instant gratification; it takes a few hundred miles for the MoS2 to work its magic, coating all the moving parts.

I used this in my 1992 Jeep Cherokee..I was born and raised in Germany and this company is well known. I started got introduced to Lubro Moly oil in my BMW M6 (its a V10 and requires 10W-60 oil, which is rare) as the only other firm that makes similar oil is Castrol, which charges upto 20 bucks a quart as they are the ONLY 'BMW Approved' oil for the V10 (rip off).Long story short the Lubro Moly GT1 10W 60 oil made my engine run much smoother and quieter than the Castrol. The local BMW service shops here swear by the firm and import the oil from Germany.
Decided to try their 5W-40 oil and supplemented this with half a bottle of anti friction treatment for my Kia Sorento SUV. It's got 115K miles and has always run smoothly (but with high oil consumption), but decided to try a switch from 5W 30 Mobile 1 (which is a good oil). Long story short, its hard to believe the improvements I've seen the engine is absolutely silent, silk smooth and best of all, I've seen a 15-20% improvement in fuel economy. How this holds up as the oil and additive degrade over time is to be seen, but well worth the 5 bucks or so it costs at the Local Napa store (also, I'm not sure if its the Lubro Moly oil, additive or both that is making the difference, I havent been scientific about testing it). I am going to add this anti friction additive to by M6 as well (which gives 13mpg, I think the 510HP has something to do with that!)
I also purchased the Lubro Moly engine cleaner for the SUV, but per my mechanics recommendation will return it as the engine is running perfect so there is no need to add this and waste my money. If your engine is running rough or has poor mpg, use the anti friction treatment before doing anything else (including attempts to clean it with additives).
Also, use synthetic oil (most brands are pretty good)

There are only two proven friction modifiers on the market, with a third (ceramic) on the horizon. The first one is ZDDP which might be the best but you should NOT use it on modern vehicles that use a catalytic convertor as it will harm it! The other proven friction modifier is molybdenum, and this product is full of Moly. The difference between Moly and ZDDP is that Moly HAS NO DOWNSIDE! Except for idiots who get it on their shirt. It is a product that is already in most oils.Now there are many other products out there, solvents, PTFE (Teflon) slick 50, detergents like Prolong, but all of these products have risk that is unnecessary to take. My first advice is too just run a high quality synthetic oil and nothing else is needed. However, if you are someone who feels better adding something to your oil this is the only product I recommend with the exception of MMO. Marvel Mystery Oil also has some lubricating qualities and a naphthenic solvent that is harmless. I use Lubro Moly on my new cars for breaking in, and in my Toyotas as they have sludge issues and this stuff really smooths out those rough engines.
To give this product a bad review is to not understand engine dynamics and oil products in general. It would be like saying the slick stuff in oil itself is bad for your engine. Listen people that is just not the case. There are no miracle products out there but this one is beneficial to all engines!!! Run it in your lawn mower and you will be amazed at the lack of smoke at start up!

I bought mine at a local Napa for a fiver, I used it in my 1997 Honda Civic, it has 200k on the stock engine, I added it on top of Mobile 5000 5w30, and within 20miles I noticed a smoother idle and less engine noise. when I checked my gas mileage, it went up about 5mpg. And the best part of about this additive is it clings to the innards of the engine, so if you don't use it every change it will still be there. It is a huge hit on BITOG, and recommended by most members on Bobistheoilguy.com to put a full bottle in the first time, and only half each time after that because the MOS2 sticks around on the metal in your engine.You will not really want to add this to any really high quality oils like Pennzoil ultra, Mobile 1, or Castrol Edge, most of the synthetics already have soluble-moly in the oil, it is proven to be less effective after about 600ppm and the average synthetic has around 200ppm, there would be no benefit adding it to them besides the good feeling of knowing its in there, that's just my 2cents.
FYI adding the whole bottle to about a 5qt sump made a 250-300PPM increase on my UOA
