I use to change my oil every 3,000 miles so the Jiffy lube filters were fine. Now that my SUV has 80,000 miles and does not get the use it use to, I decided to go 5,000 miles between changes and that could mean my oil will be in the engine for almost a year between changes. I switched to synthetic oil and did a bunch of research on oil filters. This one with the Filtech media kept appearing at the top of everyones list. As usual Amazon did its part on price and delivery. The filter seems solid and fits well. Not much more to say from this end. I did the research and for the money this filter ranks at the top of the list.

One last thing. My 2005 Lexus uses the same filter and I had one in my cart ready to purchase in the near future. I noticed one day that the price had gone down by 50% so I jumped on it. Next day it was back up there. Love those impromptu sale offers.

This filter is made from high quality materials. If you value your vehicle I suggest only using high quality parts even if its just an oil filter. This filter will filter out any debris in the oil. Just as with any oil filter, you replace it when you change your motor oil.

One thing I am dissapointed with, is Amazon. Their part look-up is not correct or accurate at all. Amazon said this part isn't work with my vehicle anymore, even when it did say it was compatible 7 months ago.

Overall a great product like this shouldn't be hurt in reviews just because the seller lacks accuracy. 5 stars for the Filter and 2 stars for Amazon.

this filter costs 3-4 more at the store and with free shipping there is no reason you shouldn't get this filter. It should allow you to change the filter every other oil change if you change every 3000.

This oil comes in one plastic bladder and a spout. Containers can be filled from it. The oil works out to very close to half of what it would have cost me if I were to buy it in quarts. This is what was recommended by the manufacturer of my vehicle so that's what I use. Very economical this way.

I was looking for a less expensive (than $8.49/qt) way to buy oil for my new Subaru. Since full synthetic oil isn't prone to degredation when properly stored, this will save me about $2/quart, and make it easy to keep fresh oil in the vehicle given the harsh driving conditions of my mountain location, You have to measure oil as you dispense it from the box, but an old 2 quart juice bottle worked well enough.

I have not used this oil yet, but have no reason to be wary of its effectivness. Our new Prius calls for this viscocity and grade. Most prices where I live, are around $10.00 a qt. This container works out to be $6.66 a qt. It is a plastic bag inside the box with a valved pour spout. Neat idea. Just not clear, at least to me, in the advertisment. Thats is why 4 stars. When it is empty I can recycle the cardboard, but i do not know about a empty plastic bag with oil residue?

I would usually buy this product from other retailers (ECS Tuning etc) but the price that Amazon has is about the same or just a hair less expensive. Great oil and more than deserving to be put into any German import as well, long lasting life has insured that my car operates safely until the 5k mark as opposed to 3k.

I daily drive a B6 A4 3.0.

JhM Motorsports who is the authority on Making big power in Audis sells this oil as a change kit. So if thats what they are using I guess thats what I am using. Just put in 9.5 liters in my 4.2 powered audi s4 along with a hengst filter. Super easy to do. For 80 bucks and free oil disposal using my city furbished oil change containers. Cant beat that. Also the lubro container has a cool spout.

This is a fantastic oil with a very robust additive technology and base stocks,,,there are better more expensive european oils out there but this is better than ANY store or Walmart brand available in the US.. Take it from a refinery basesd Specialized oil Engineer.

Hi all,

Most individuals who have German cars choose this oil. However, I did not realize that this is a different blend then what they sell in Europe. (who would of thought right?!)

please see below link:I would go with Mobil 1 0w-40 instead of this stuff. Its about the same price but appears to be a better oil. Please respond with your thoughts if what I am posting is wrong. Just wanted to get the word out there.

This all I use on my Audi. Have been very pleased so far. It is expensive but for small motors with high horsepower this is what you want.
