I have a 350z, it's had a very rough shifting gearbox (typicall Nissan apperently), especially 2'nd. Now, I'm not sure exactly what lube was in their originally, but this Redline gear oil really smoothed up shifting in all gears. Well worth the price especially considering Nissan wants the same price for conventionall oil.

I would definitely recommend Redline synthetic for anyone with a rough or notchy fealing gearbox, try it before a rebuild.

I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra with 100,000 miles. I put in MT-90 before, 30,000 miles ago, due to the fact that I couldn't get the MT-85 quick enough. The MT-90 ran great but I wanted to go to the correct weight for my vehicle. That is why I switched. I have seen the same smooth shifting that I had with the MT-90. This vehicle tends to grind when doing quick shifts from first to second and 90 removed that issue and it has not returned with the 85 either.

I have noticed that the MT-85 feels different driving when compared to the MT-90. I would say smoother and less resistance/free'r spinning but I will attribute this to being all in my head.

I love the redline fluids. Knowing that this is full synthetic I know it will last longer than most regular fluid out there. The added piece of mind is worth the added cost and I would put redline MTF in any future vehicles as well.

I have 2006 Kia Spectra5. On redline's website they say this is a recommended replacement for my transmission Kia API service GL-4 fill for life (although Amazon says it does not match). It is definitely better than OEM and is an exact match with my owners manual. This is the third change with 89000 on it now. This car is known for its rough shift to second and this has helped out a lot. Now it hasnt eliminated it but 9 shifts out of 10 (when it is fully warmed up) it will glide right in. Cold shifting is better but still notchy so dont expected it to fix that. It still seems to "rumble" into 2nd when cold, its not a grind but definitely doesnt go in smooth. All in all I honestly dont think anything is better, this is probably the best I will find and will keep it in until the next recommended change. Would definitely recommend as it all gears seemed to shift a little smoother except for 5th (no problems just not as buttery smooth). Hope this helps
