I've been using these oil filters in my Neon SRT-4 for about 100k now and they work great. The last time I had the head off the engine (at 140k), everything was pretty much spotless inside with no oil residue buildup. Not sure that all has to do with the oil filter but i'm sure it contributes. I do wish that they had a sandpaper like surface to grip them like the Fram filters because the smooth finish makes them hard to remove, especially if you have any oil on them. I bought a strap wrench long ago that works great for these. I pare these with Mobil 1 5W-30 Fully Synthetic.

I use Mobil 1 extended interval motor oil, and I pair it up with theses oil filters. I have done a couple of oil change analyses, and the results are remarkable. I usually change my oil every 5-6 months, and about 10,000 miles. I have overly 180,000 on my Taurus, and these filters have saved me a small fortune. Trust me this oil, and these oil filters will not disappoint. Note: when changing the oil make sure your car is cool. The one down side, is the oil filters are hard to grip, so make sure you wear gloves.

I've been using these on my Tacoma since I bought it new. For a few more bucks you can get a lot more filter media area than the regular size filter (M1-102). IMO, a stock Toyota engine doesn't require Mobil 1 oil. I run Castrol GTX but your motor should outlive the truck as long as you change it regularly regardless of oil choice. However, I do like using the Mobil 1 Oil Filters. Great price for 2-packs from Amazon.

I've long used Mobil 1 filters after seeing cutaways of various brands. Never had a problem with them. I recently sent an oil sample into Blackstone after running Amsoil through my Tacoma (I use the M1-209's on my 09 V6 Tacoma for slightly larger capacity) for 9600 miles. I'd intended to swap the filter halfway through but never got around to it. The analysis came back with a big thumbs up, the oil was clean with dirt found in it. I'd done two desert camping trips in this period, so I'm quite pleased with these filters and will continue to keep them in all of my vehicles.
