This is my second oil change using Chevron. I pull a 32 foot RV and have had no problems using this oil.

The Delo 400 LE 5w40 is a very good oil. I am using it in a 2013 Freightliner Columbia with a pre-egr Detroit Series 60 12.7 engine. I take oil samples at 10,000 miles, which look very good, and change the oil at 30,000 miles, which is twice the OEM recommended drain interval of 15,000 miles. Chevron makes very good products, and this one is in their top tier of offerings. Highly recommend it for those considering synthetics in their diesels.

DON'T GET ME WRONG, I'VE BEEN USING DELO 400 OIL FOR 8 YEARS NOW AND LOVE IT (GREAT OIL). BUT!! WHY WOULD I WANT TO SPEND $71.51 ON THREE GALLONS OF OIL WHEN I CAN GO TO WALL-MART AND GET 3 GALLONS FOR ABOUT $36.00 PLUS TAX.

I have used Castrol oil exclusively in my vehicles (97 Dodge Dakota, 2008 Toyota Prius, 2011 Toyota 4Runner) since the purchase of my Dakota in 1997. I switched over to the Synthetic Oil in 2008 with 10,000 mile interval oil changes per vehicle since the switch. I would not consider another oil, my Dakota has 289,000 miles and I never have to add oil between changes, Nuff' said.

I have used this oil in a Chevrolet Trailblazer 4.2 (80,000 mi) and a Silverado 5.3 (40,000 mi) and in both cases, both motors burn massive amounts of this oil! After 1,200 miles my mom asked me to look at her Trailblazer because it was knocking, I pull out the dipstick and nothing! The motor was 5 quarts low out of a 7 quart oil pan!

I had the same issue with the Silverado but to a much lesser extent, I was adding constantly and when I changed the oil there were metal chips on the drain plug. I was running both vehicles at a 2,500 mile oil change interval and still getting terrible results. The Trailblazer fouled out a brand new set of Bosch +4's.

I started asking around at work, (I work at an auto parts store) and two other people there had tried it in their cars (Crown Victoria 4.6 and Ford Fusion 3.0) and both had the same issue. The worst part is the oil burning doesn't immediately stop after you stop using it, it takes THREE oil changes for the oil consumption to completely stop!

I've been trying to pin down why my friend's 09 Honda Accord is burning oil profusely and in generally terrible engine condition, now I think I have the answer because he's using this oil.

This just baffles me because of all the people who are just going to pour this stuff in, close the hood and not check again until it's time to drain out, well, that will be easy because they'll have an empty crankcase.

The first time I ordered a case of oil from them I was amazed at how quickly it got here. It was in excellent condition with no problems. So, I ordered another case. Instead of getting the motor oil, I received a 40" Round Glass Patio Table! What a mix up! They are worlds apart. I am overseas and have no way to ship this table back and I don't have my motor oil. Feel sorry for the person with 4 chairs and no table! This is why they get 3 stars from me. Seriously, a table instead of motor oil????? Funny thing is the packing slip says motor oil...

The gold bottle Titanium Edge is one of the finest synthetic motor oils I have ever used. The product keeps the engine temps lower on average than does Mobil-1 by a tiny margin, and is better than Pennzoil Platinum (didn't test Ultra yet) by a larger temp margin. After 5k miles, there is nearly NO darkening of oil. Mobil-1 has tiny darkening, and Pennzoil Platinum, somewhat more so. Before "Titanium" came along, the best formula was the gold bottle "Edge" but made in Germany; this new formula is made in USA (maybe from spilled Louisiana crude doh!) and may be even better yet. A few years ago, it seemed that Castrol brand synthetics were nearly unaffordable. But after "the spill", the price of Castrol oils has dropped versus other popular brands. While it lasts, you should grab a few cases of Castrol Edge Synthetic with Titanium 5w-30. Your engine will thank you 300,000 miles later, as does my '89 Jeep 6-cylinder that still runs like new, always running synthetics by Mobil, Castrol, Valvoline, and Pennzoil.

Great product that is actually recommended by Volvo. This is the only oil my new Volvo will ever use!! I have used Castrol in all of my vehicles for at least 40 years and have never had a problem with Castrol!! Castrol is simply the best engineered oil on the market.

I like Castrol. Not that I am only partial to this brand but, I like to pick a brand and stay with it if it works. No issues. I put this same brand in all of my vehicles and the 4T version in my crotch rocket.

I use synthetic motor oil and change my filter (a good filter) every 3000 miles and change the oil every 15000 miles.
