After reading reviews of this product that say how well its constructed and its advanced filtering I decided I'd give it a try. Upon receiving my first filter I noticed that the element inside was completely loose. I contacted RP who said this was not the way the product was supposed to be and not to use it. I decided to give it another shot and ordered a replacement from Amazon. Upon receiving the second filter I gave it a little shake. Loose Again!!!!!, not as bad as the first time but still not the way its supposed to be. I don't know if this is just a bad batch or what but after this experience I'd be very leery to put one of these on my truck and can tell you I'll never use one of these filters!!!! I mean I'd be worried if I got another if it wasn't loose when I received it that something would come apart inside while on the truck.

haven't had a single problem with this product. continue to use each oil change I've done for a couple years now. I do extended interval changes on all my vehicles.

I use Royal Purple XPR 5w-30 motor oil in my 2008 Corvette matched with the 10-48 RP oil filter. As soon as I changed the oil and filter to RP from whatever the dealer had in it, the car has had a noticeably smoother idle and seemed to sound better going up through the RPM. The engine sounds just plain smooth. I will stick w/Royal Purple.

I bought this filter and Royal Purple oil for the oil change in my Pontiac G8 GT. Noticeably quit valve train. And smoother idle and revving. I'll stay with Royal Purple from now on.

I purchased top of the line products like Royal Purple oil and filters. Truthfully, I have no idea if the extra cost will prolong the life of my 2008 Chevy Silverado, but I really hope so. I have 65,000 miles and hope to keep it forever. I wish I could be more specific about the product, but there is really no way to look into the motor. I give it 5 stars because I hope it is doing everything it is advertised to do.

Cheap K&N PS-7003 Oil Filter

I bought this for my 2011 2LT Camaro. It fit perfectly, the only problem was that it didn't come with the black ring that normally comes with other brands filters. This is my first K&N purchase though, so I'm not sure if they don't include it or my specific order was missing the ring.

I have noticed a difference with K & N air filters, so I'm assuming they know what they're doing. Don't notice any difference in performance, but run their oil filters on my car and my bike and I have never had a problem.
