The standard Fram oil filters are considered one of the poorest quality oil filters on the market. They have cardboard internal end caps and irregular filter medium held together by clips. These are constructed in Canada and quality control doesn't seem all that good. As someone else mentioned, go to YouTube and look up "oil filter comparisons" you'll see how inferior Fram is compared to other brands. I used Fram for years, but will not buy any more after seeing these dramatic comparisons!

Care has 185k now...not sure about quality of filter when you change them every oil change of 4 5,000 miles.

I like the brand-name filter with a better price than you'd get in a retail store. The only thing I don't like is the black "grip" coating Fram puts on it because after it's been on the vehicle for a long time, it becomes brittle and flakes off when you're trying to remove it. Other than that, it does a good job in protecting your engine.

Wix filters are some the best filters available, period. Having worked in the parts business for a long time, I was constantly subjected to many demonstrations from a variety of aftermarket parts manufacturers. However, my favorite has to be the oil-filter comparison. A wix salesman came in one day and bought the same filter in every brand that we carried (5 or 6). Up until that point, I had never even heard of the company. He cut them all open on the counter in fron of us, and pulled the guts out for everyone to see. Not only was it immediately evident that the wix filter element was in a class of its own, the valve assembly and mounting adapter was machined much better than any of the others. Fram was by far the worst (will never buy that orange soup can again, absolute junk). Wix won my business for life. Amazon's sweet price is the icing on the cake!

Not sure how to rate a filter, but here goes. I'be been using Wix filters for about 20 years, and that's a lot of miles. Currently have 160k on my 2002 Mustang and my wife has 104k on her 1998 Volvo, I've done all the oil changes from day one. Never any engine issues. Just got rid of a Jeep with 188k, the whole car fell apart around the engine. Prior to these vehicles, there have been 4 Fords, 2 Jeeps and a Mitsubishi, all without engine issues. Before that, no Wix and no issues either, so I'll hold back the 5th star. But I would definitely recommend the brand.

I have a 2013 F-150 Raptor, which Ford recommends using a special Ford Racing filter for. After reading an analysis Ford published about the internals of its filter vs. the competition, it was clear to me this is the better filter. The Ford filter is also very good, but this has more filtering media and a few other nice touches inside. As a bonus, the Amazon price (< $8 at the time of this writing) is very good and much cheaper than the Ford Racing filter. I bought a few and plan to use these exclusively going forward.

I just ordered the kit and it has Metric and SAE Pipe Thread adapters in it. In the picture, the silver row of adapters is metric and the brass fittings below are SAE pipe thread. Very nice kit.

Real nice quality kit and at an awesome price. Just doesn't make sense that it doesn't have the adapter for a generic 1999 Silverado. Couldn't even use it. Take note, all the adapters are SAE pipe thread, NOT metric.

Had everything I needed. Very easy to hook up thanks to the fact that the nipple on the cable spins freely.

Better yet, the line is very long, it was long enough for me to hook up the meter and run the line inside the car so I could see the pressure at different RPM ranges.

The fact that it has 2 gauges makes this a great kit as most kits that come with just 1 gauge that's 0-400psi make determining if you have 5psi or 10psi nearly impossible.

Great tool and big gauges. The gauges work great. The only issue I had was the fitting on one of the gauges did not go on the coupler hose. The other gauge fitting went on the coupler just fine. No biggie thou I just went to my local home improvement store and got a new fitting.

Solid instrument with good selection of fittings to be able to read pressure on a Ford F150 4R70W transmission. Turned out low pressure caused transmission clutches to burn out. The low pressure was probably due to a worn out pump, but still investigating this issue. The price was very reasonable for this level of quality.

This oil filter is a great and economical oil filter. We got ours for our 2012 Honda Accord SE. It comes in a 2 pack. Mobil claims that it will last up to 15,000 miles but I like to change mine every 10,000 to 12,000 because there is more stop and go traffic in Southern California. We use this filter along with Mobil 1 Synthetic Fuel Economy 0W-20 oil.

If you're looking at this product & my review, you're probably curious about how this filter performs vs other filters. I'm not a scientist/researcher, so I can't tell you the technical reasons why this filter is better than another other than what is stated on the box. I can however, tell you that I buy items based on other people's reviews. While there aren't any reviews for this particular filter on Amazon, I do know by years of researching on forums for my car (Nissan 350Z), my fiance's car (Acura MDX), and expert resources like BobtheOilGuy.com that Mobil 1 is one oil & filters are some of the best products you can buy for your car that is available almost anywhere.

I'm somewhat of a car enthusiast and I do care about what I put into my car... Most people take care of their expensive products (TVs, furniture, appliances, jewelry, collector's items), so why wouldn't the same philosphy apply to one's car... especially seeing how it's a big investment.

While I can't buy Royal Purple, Amsoil, or Redline at any of the local car parts stores around here, I've always settled for Mobil 1 products. Not to say that it's worse or better than the others, but simply doing a Google search for quality oil and filters will show that Mobil 1 is a respected brand.

With all that said, I bought this 2-pack of filters simply because a single filter alone costs $13 plus tax locally. By buying this 2-pack, I saved roughly $3.80 cents (or $7.60 total) on these filters. Another plus is that this filter fits both my and my fiance's cars. Although the M1-110 isn't listed as compatible for the 350Z, it actually is as I've been using the longer filters on my car for years. So not only did I save a couple bucks, I'm putting a quality filter on my car that has been tried & tested for decades.

I've always have used Mobil 1 motor oil since i got my first car, even on my new cars, when i bring them to the dealer ship for oil change, I always buy Mobil 1 motor oil and have the dealer use that instead of their own supply. And when I did a search on Amazon about the Mobil 1 oil filter and after reading reviews about OEM oil filter that dealers use, I said to myself i should use these instead. So I did. And what a difference it made, the oil does not turn black as quickly as the oem honda oil filters which are made by fram and most of all my oil level does not drop to low level since is started using these. so for the peace of mind I will keep buying these so long as Amazon can keep shipping them to me.
