I bought a pack of these on ebay for seven dollars only because the Toyota Service Manual says not to reuse the gasket each time the oil is changed, so far so good on the first one. These gaskets have an aluminum center about 1/16" thick with a thin layer of rubber on each side. These are 12mm ID x 21mm OD and will fit numerous different models.

I am a retired auto mechanic who still performs a lot of my own work. Easiest maintenance any owner can perform is an oil change. I use synthetic oil and premium filters and have always replaced the "crush" drain plug washer. I have used several different styles of washers: a stainless steel washer that is similar to spark plug washers, nylon washers, fiber washers and aluminum washers. These washers appear to be the aluminum style with a coating on each side that helps seal the drain plug and oil pan surfaces. I feel these are inexpensive insurance against drain plug leaks and replace the washer on every oil change.

to save money, i only replace this washer/gasket every other oil change or unless the oldone look bad and bent. fit and performed just like the one came with the car.

I have been changing my own oil for a number of years now. I love my Tacoma so I follow everything to the T including changing the oil drain gasket every oil change like the dealer recommends. I am very precise and use a torque wrench every time. In the past I was getting these washers from the dealer and worked great, to save the trip to the dealer which is 10 miles away I decided to order these from Amazon. Bad idea, I put the first one on and applier the recommended torque, the washer got destroyed. It seems to be a lot softer than what the local dealer was selling me so it compresses too much and spread out. Took the first one off and made sure the torque wrench was set correctly, tried a second washer but it did the same thing.

I love the Chevron brand but I could have gotten this cheaper at an auto store. The picture looks like a Chevron full-synthetic motor oil bottle, but it is just ordinary Chevron semi-synthetic petroleum oil. Would not buy again

unless the price came down to auto store prices.

I have heard arguments for both Red Line and Amsoil. So I decided to try both. First, I purchased the Redline products and replaced ALL of my fluids in my 2009 Ultra Classic. I then rode cross country (including several days of hard riding through Death Valley and the Mojave desert. From Massachusetts to Santa Cruz, California and back. Over 15,000 miles total. I was on the road for two months. The bike ran great, I did not have any problems.

This last year I rode to Sturgis (over 2,000 miles one way) and had ALL the fluids changed there to Amsoil. I got to say, the bile ran louder, the gear changing seemed harder. I noise increase was significant enough to cause me to conclude that I will forever use Red LIne products in my Harley. I am sold on them!

Using 5W30 as the manufacturer recommends, the car was using a quart every 700 to 800 miles. Mechanic explained that the manufacturers oil recommendations are a result of EPA mandates.

However, he explained that in the real world, as an engine wears, a thicker oil is needed to seal everything better.

He also had researched the synthetics (he had pages and pages of technical stuff) and he concluded that the Redline was the best he had found.

After several months of using the RedLine 20W50, not only is my mileage about 1 to 2 mpg better than what is was (nothing else was changed, no tune ups, still using the same grade and brand of gasoline, and still driving the same), but I now only use a quart of oil about every 3,000 miles. And also, mechanic says I can safely extend oil changes to every 7,000 to 8,000 miles so I now only have to change oil every 6 months or so.

It's a money saver in all respects.

This is a fantastic oil.I use it in my built 2011 Subaru STi exclusively. The only thing about getting it here, is that your local Auto Zone will have it for around $9 a quart. Significantly less than you'll find here.
