Recently switched from these Mobil-1 Extended oil filters to the Royal Purple filters. Only because I did a LOT of research & the Royal Purple filters are the same price as these. (Use Royal Purple motor oil).

However, I would not hesitate to go back to these Mobil-1 filters as they are a quality product & very well made.

Its nice to find an extended performance filter built for synthetics at a decent price. I actually used this for my transmission filter on my 2001 subaru outback to match the mobil 1 synthetic ATF I put in. Works great. The only thing I wish this filter had was a different material at the top for grip when taking it off like the higher end FRAM filters have.

I have a 2006 Infiniti G35 with about 100k miles on it. I've been using Mobil 1 oil and oil filter products since I've owned the vehicle and I've never had a single engine problem. I don't think I really have to get into the details of why these filters are fantastic. You can do your own research. With that said, I would definitely recommend this filter to anyone without hesitation.

I bought a few when I first changed to synthetic oil and high detergent gasoline, since I was worried the detergent action of both these fluids will loosen up more debris than the OEM filter could handle. After my first oil change, I opened up the filter and I was impressed by the high quality materials and sturdy construction, but did not find too much debris trapped in. But now I am getting away from the idea of long changing intervals with the synthetic oil. It;s not all about dirt, gunk and engine wear as much as it is about engine performance. From everything I read, I would not push further than 5-6k miles. To me it seems likely that I will want to restore the smoothness and performance I get with new oil, before it is totally spent, so these high capacity extended change interval filters don;t seem necessary unless I would change them only every other time I do the oil change.

Searched Amazon.com for an oil filter for my HHR and found one for a very reasonable price and shipping arrangement as well..

Yes I would duplicate this order again and will if it is still available when oil change and filter time comes around again.

This purchase allowed me to have a cap for the oil filter too as well as new "O" ring which is necessary after a while over the multiple oil changes, but I prefer every oil change to be safe.

The price beat all local prices on this item and all Internet Prices I searched so needless to say I made the purchase along with a few other items needed and related. The free shipping was included with the purchase of these additional items and this review will be cut and pasted to those items as they are reviewed along with one added piece of information on the special socket for the oil cap removal review.

I purchased a Groupon voucher for a $10 oil change. I figured the oil itself cost more than $10.

I went to the local car care center (Nuno's Auto Care)with my voucher in hand. I was told, for your car there will be an extra $12 charge for the special oil filter. I told them "no way", and walked out.

I went home and logged onto Amazon and found this genuine GM AC Delco filter and a spare plastic cap for less than $10. If the quality is good enough for a brand new car, it's good enough for my 3 year old Malibu. It fits perfectly. Yes, I also had to buy 5 quarts of oil, but I prefer to hand my money to a trustworthy retailer than pay a premium price for a non premium filter at a service center with questionable business practices.

I bought these two together just in case something would happen to the filter cap, now I have a spare. The filter and cap are both made in America, the price was really good and I received it sooner than I was told I would get it.

Was pleasantly surprised to find a high quality made in the USA Hengst filter shipped under the A/C Delco label. For a new cap, a new gasket and a new filter, the price on Amazon was a bargain! Best to replace the plastic filter cap about once a year as these things will crack over time. And the price of a cap plus filter is only a few dollars more than the filter alone. Only thing I could have asked for different was a protective plastic cover over the filter. Unlike store bought filters which come protected from abrasion and foreign particles in a plastic bag inside the box this one was in the A/C Delco cardboard box with no protective cover. But filter appears no worse for the wear.
