I used this tool to extract and reduce the fork oil height in my Sportster forks after I added progressive springs. Since progressive recommends to measure fork oil from the top of the fork caps instead of pouring X amount, this was very nice to have. For my application I did not want my fork oil any higher than 5.5" from the top of the fork caps.

This is an excellent valve. I have them on all 3 of my cars and trucks, and two on my generators. They work, and don't leak like cheaper valves. One of them is 15 years old and still works like it did on the first day. This is the best, and they are worth the money. I have the valves with the hose nipple. They make oil changes with a vacuum oil changer a breeze. Now if someone could just invent a oil filter that doesn't drip when you change it.

I have two Foresters with these installed. They both get about 50K miles a year, so we change our oil a lot. I put these on and now it only takes about 5 minutes to change our oil. We connect a clear hose to the nipple and run it out from under the car into a container and let it drain while we change the filter. There is zero mess now when I change my oil. I have had mine on for about 40K miles and have had no problems. It doesnt hang down far enough to cause any sort of clearance issues. Great idea.

I blew an engine running Mobil 1 and Mobil refused to be of any help. I run Royal Purple in my truck, car and 2 Harleys and have never had a problem. When I pulled the3 cylinders on my '03 Fatboy with 52,000 miles, they still had hone hash marks from the d=factory. Virtually no wear!!

Great oil, not available at this viscosity at advance auto parts or auto zone. My car is 1990 Mercedes 560SEL that requires 20w50 my gas milage got better and the car runs much smoother. In hot conditions the oil pressure gauge doesn't go below 1.5 bar.

Vehicle: '88 Mercedes 300TE, M103 Gas engine, 178k mi.

Engine condition: Maintained, proper tune & tolerances, Meets Cal emissions with original 25 YEAR OLD cats.

Oil this replaces: Mobil 1 15W-50 @ 3,500 miles, 6.3qts.

Environment: Southern California, practical annual service conditions of 0-9500ft, 28-102F, and 5-80% humidity, within 75 miles.

The Mobil 1 changed out of this car proved unsuitable for the application. It caused the valve train to be noisy generally, and half the time when starting cold, there would be lifter noise for 4-5 seconds until they pumped up. The motor had not had this issue with the conventional Castrol 20W50 used prior to Mobil 1.

I purchased this Royal purple for 3 reasons:

Synthetic available in 20W-50 grade, good price, and Amazon free shipping. I observed a difference after the Mobil 1 Synthetic was replaced by Royal Purple. At first warm up the valve train became quiet, and the lifters thereafter have been quiet on cold starts.

This is one of only a half dozen times in 40+ years that I have observed a lubricant's brand superiority for a particular application. Of those instances, half of the stand-out products were created by Texas-based lube-specialty houses like Royal Purple. They are/were:

Heavy specialty greases from Lubrication Engineers (LE grease).

Apps: Cranes, heavy equipment, severe duty marine & environmental.

PTFE light synthetic & flowable greases from the original SuperLube.

Apps: Light & precision mechanisms, sailboat hardware, and FDA food processing machinery.

And now this API motor oil from Royal Purple.
