Buy Mag 1 603 10W-40 SN Synthetic Blend Motor Oil - 1 Quart Bottle
I bought this for my older Chevy because newer oils don't have adequate amounts of Zinc additive for flat tappet cams for wear resistance under load and this(Mag1) does. It's considered semi-synthetic with additives for higher mileage engines. At just over $3.00 a quart and free shipping, you can't go wrong. Available in all the popular weights too.

The standard Fram oil filters are considered one of the poorest quality oil filters on the market. They have cardboard internal end caps and irregular filter medium held together by clips. These are constructed in Canada and quality control doesn't seem all that good. As someone else mentioned, go to YouTube and look up "oil filter comparisons" you'll see how inferior Fram is compared to other brands. I used Fram for years, but will not buy any more after seeing these dramatic comparisons!

I like the brand-name filter with a better price than you'd get in a retail store. The only thing I don't like is the black "grip" coating Fram puts on it because after it's been on the vehicle for a long time, it becomes brittle and flakes off when you're trying to remove it. Other than that, it does a good job in protecting your engine.

Buy Brad Penn Penn Grade 1 20W50 Partially Synthetic Motor Oil
As of December 2008, Brad Penn oils were still being manufactured to the old API-SF and ILSAC GF-2 standards with a full .140% Zinc and .130% phosphorous needed by older engines with flat (non-roller) tappets, such as MG, Porsche, Maserati, Ferarri, and most small and big block GM and Fords. These are a great low-cost alternatives to aftermarket synthetic oils being marketed for flat tappet engines (e.g. Royal Purple). Not for use in late model cars with 100,000 mile warranties on the converter, but necessary to avoid early cam/lifter failures on flat tappet cars. Hoorah for Brad Penn.

Discount STIHL 0781 319 8009 6.4 Ounce High Performance 2 Cycle Engine Oil
I have tried other oils but this one is the one I prefer over the others. It is a good one.

I have a backpack style leaf blower, a trimmer and now a chain saw (Sandy warranted it). I have been using the STIHL oil in all my tools for the past five years. They always start on the second pull (when cold) and run well. I had bought some 2 stroke oil at a local store to save money, but sanity prevailed.I highly recommend this oil for any 2-stroke engine you might have.
