This socket also fits the BMW 36mm oil filter and works well. This item is sturdy but I would agree that I is not impact wrench sturdy.

If your looking for a all purpose socket them this is not for you.

If you are looking for a good socket for oil changes, than this is the right socket, with low cost and coated for easy clean up it is hard to beat.

For me, I use this on my leather purses and also on my leather shoes. And I use it for two purposes:

1) Keeping my leather shoes soft and pliable. Also, this gives my shoes a SHEEN.

2) Leather purses I like soft leather purses that have that natural look. This product gives them a lovely patina and sheen. And the leather on my purses lasts for a very long time.

3) Weather Proof purses and shoes I condition my purses and shoes often with this and when I know it will be raining and I plan to use a certain purse or shoes, I give them a Kiwi Mink oil treatment. RESULT? The rain water beads up on my shoes.

I first started using this product on my ski boots in the 60s, and my husband has used it on his leather gardening boots since the 70s. It has always done a great job as a water repellant and leather conditioner. We highly recommend it.

This product does protect leather from the elements but unfortunately leaves a white residue. After wiping off any excess oil, the application looks fine. However,as it dries and as one uses the item, an unsightly residue appears, particularly at any crease in the leather. I could only dissolve the residue with Neats Foot Oil. With all of the Mink Oil products available, there is no reason to buy this one.

I buy these from Amazon on a regular basis.

We had a Toyota Sienna that had an oil gelation problem despite having the car regularly serviced by Toyota. After some persistence on our part Toyota rebuilt the engine on our car (which only had 38,000) miles on it. Toyota said they would only pay for this once and that we needed to switch to using synthetic oil.

In researching this online and some well respected mechanics we concluded that we would also use Mobile 1 filters. These filters are designed to filter out a higher percentage of particles than factory or other mainstream 3rd party filters.

We have been using these filters on both of our cars with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil ever since. Our cars now have in excess of 130,000 miles with no issues.

The Mobil 1 filter is well made and is constructed with metal end caps. I've heard they are made by Champ filters. I compared the Mobil 1 filter to a K&N and they are exactly the same (except for the nut added to the K&N).

If you are do-it-yourselfer, K&N is most convenient (nut to remove, mark to rotate the last 3/4 turn). If you are a racing enthusiast, Mobil can withstand the max pressure (615 psi, Bosch 500 psi). If you are interested in changing filter as late as possible, Bosch-Distance-Plus (not other models!) holds the max contaminants (29.1g, Mobil 28g very close). If you want max engine protection, Bosch is 99.9% efficient (Mobil 99.2% very, very close).

Some reviewer has said that Mobil filters are K&N filters on the inside. I disagree. Peeking inside the filter hole (you can see only the inner drum and hint of filter material) cannot tell an "expert" how the filter is constructed on the inside. Why does K&N not declare their data (as Mobil and Bosch Distance-Plus-only do?) People who are at the top always boldly publish their data, and do not depend on hype.

Yes, previous version of Mobil filters had flow problems. That has been long corrected.

I use these filters with mobil 1 15,000 mile extended formula oil. i change my oil every 7,500 with no problems.My car has now 116,000 miles and still going strong.

I own a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4.7L V8 and have performed all my own oil changes. I switched to these filters after my first 2 oil changes. I haven't had a single problem with these filters other than some slight crushing due to removal via strap wrench. These dont crush nearly as bad as the FRAM filters from Wallmart. The only reason im giving 4/5 and not 5/5 is due the tendency to crush during removal. However this might be in fact caused by me tightening the filter too much during installation. Highly Recommended otherwise.
