Discount Accel 62695 SAE 0W-20 Full Synthetic Motor Oil - 1 Quart Bottle
I used this from my Honda Insight 2011, along with Honda OEM filter and the car went on for 12000 miles without needing an oil change!Good for new/low mile cars, not as great as compare to other brand like Mobil 1, but good enough for 5000 miles interval changing, and cheap, not junk stubs for sure.

I buy these from Amazon on a regular basis.
We had a Toyota Sienna that had an oil gelation problem despite having the car regularly serviced by Toyota. After some persistence on our part Toyota rebuilt the engine on our car (which only had 38,000) miles on it. Toyota said they would only pay for this once and that we needed to switch to using synthetic oil.
In researching this online and some well respected mechanics we concluded that we would also use Mobile 1 filters. These filters are designed to filter out a higher percentage of particles than factory or other mainstream 3rd party filters.
We have been using these filters on both of our cars with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil ever since. Our cars now have in excess of 130,000 miles with no issues.
loudcloud.us is where we list solutions that we have found to work well for us.
Some reviewer has said that Mobil filters are K&N filters on the inside. I disagree. Peeking inside the filter hole (you can see only the inner drum and hint of filter material) cannot tell an "expert" how the filter is constructed on the inside. Why does K&N not declare their data (as Mobil and Bosch Distance-Plus-only do?) People who are at the top always boldly publish their data, and do not depend on hype.
Yes, previous version of Mobil filters had flow problems. That has been long corrected.

The Mobil 1 filter is well made and is constructed with metal end caps. I've heard they are made by Champ filters. I compared the Mobil 1 filter to a K&N and they are exactly the same (except for the nut added to the K&N).Best Deals for Mobil 1 M1-102 Extended Performance Oil Filter, Pack of 2
If you are do-it-yourselfer, K&N is most convenient (nut to remove, mark to rotate the last 3/4 turn). If you are a racing enthusiast, Mobil can withstand the max pressure (615 psi, Bosch 500 psi). If you are interested in changing filter as late as possible, Bosch-Distance-Plus (not other models!) holds the max contaminants (29.1g, Mobil 28g very close). If you want max engine protection, Bosch is 99.9% efficient (Mobil 99.2% very, very close). Some reviewer has said that Mobil filters are K&N filters on the inside. I disagree. I own a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4.7L V8 and have performed all my own oil changes. I switched to these filters after my first 2 oil changes. I haven't had a single problem with these filters other than some slight crushing due to removal via strap wrench. These dont crush nearly as bad as the FRAM filters from Wallmart. The only reason im giving 4/5 and not 5/5 is due the tendency to crush during removal. However this might be in fact caused by me tightening the filter too much during installation. Highly Recommended otherwise.Friday, June 27, 2014
Review of Mobil 1 44976 Extended Performance 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil - 1
This is the best oil out there for the regular driver who wants maximum protection for the car's engine. A little research brought me to the Mobil 1 Extended Performance line of Synthetic oils when searching for a product that could allow me more time between oil changes. Mobil 1 EP allows a 15,000 mile/1 year guaranteed life of the product. I have been using this in combination with their Mobil 1 filters for years. The cost is higher, but I only need to change the oil once a year!
Originally developed for aerospace, synthetic oils became commercially available in the 1960's. Some technical advantages Synthetic Oil has over Conventional Oil are [from Wikipedia]:
Measurably better low and high temperature viscosity performance
Better chemical & shear stability
Decreased evaporative loss
Resistance to oxidation, thermal breakdown and oil sludge problems
Extended drain intervals with the environmental benefit of less oil waste.
Improved fuel economy in certain engine configurations.
Better lubrication on cold starts
By using a Synthetic oil not only will your engine be able to perform better, but it can also extend the engine life. I HIGHLY recommend use for those with more severe or high demand driving conditions.
From personal experience, I have used this product in my vehicles, both classic and contemporary, for more than fifteen years or easily 2 million miles without an engine failure.
I always run 7,000-15,000 miles between oil changes. Motor has 80K using this oil. Still runs like new.

Amazon is my source for buying so many things, and I am a satisfied user, but we do still need to check locally. Mobil 1 oil is on a promotional sale at Advance Auto -5qts plus free Mobil 1 filter($10)for $30. Of course, it's an excellent oil with the EP version permitting 15,000 miles or 1 yr(I wouldn't really go that far myself)between changes. It can be economical to use since less oil changes can more than make up for the additional cost of this synthetic oil.Best Deals for Mobil 1 44976 Extended Performance 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil - 1

Though it is rated for 15,000 miles, I plan on changing it every 12,000. Still a huge savings compared to 3000 mile oil changes at the dealer.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mobil 1 44976 Extended Performance 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil - 1

Reviews of Red Line 42504 20W-50 Motorcycle Oil - 1 Quart Bottle
I've always used Mobil 1 for my H-D Ultra Classic because it was recommended by a H-D dealership mechanic. He recommended using it for all three holes (oil, transmission & primary). I've had no complaints whatsoever with Mobil 1. I decided to tackle the latest fluid change myself. I did some research and decided to try the Red Line brand and I bought their area specific fluids; that is, Red Line 20W-50 Oil, Red Line V-Twin Primary Case Oil & Red Line V-Twin Transmission Oil. The only area where I noticed an immediate improvement was with the transmission remarkably smoother and quieter shifts. The primary nothing good or bad that I noticed. My Ultra has always had minor pinging under load uphill during hot weather. I thought it was something with California fuel but I always run high octane and everything is mapped. It wasn't a big deal, just annoying. I noticed that after using Red Line oil, the pinging (or what I thought was pinging) is completely gone. Maybe it has something to do with dispersing heat or controlling heat. I'm so happy. It costs more than Mobil 1 but to me it's worth it. It just seems right to me to use the three area specific oils. I'm sticking with Red Line.
Always a good product fast and easy good shipping no problems I'll buy it again Awesome

Discount Liqui Moly (2011) Top Tec 4200 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil - 5 Liter
Have been using this oil for the last 50,000 or so miles in my 2012 Golf TDI. Great stuff. 5 liter bottle is perfect; usually have about 1/2 liter left over. This oil is fully VW 507 compliant for low ash so it's safe to use in diesel vehicles with a DPF system at a significantly lower cost than Castrol SLX Gold or Mobil 1 ESP. or I usually get it local from my TDI Mechanic (Hevster1 over at M&M Autocycle in NJ) but glad to know that it's available on Amazon as well. Most folks in the USA haven't heard of LiquiMoly (based in Germany), but they've been around for a long time and make a quality product.

It's funny how you need an object, but can't find just what you are looking for. We have chickens and need to be able to get feed into their feeder without crawling into their enclosure. We were using just a PVC pipe, but the feed kept spilling as we tried to pour it. Then we saw this. We aren't using it for what it was intended, but it works GREAT! So glad we bought it!Best Deals for Hopkins FloTool 10709 Spill Saver Oil Funnel

I bought this 5 gallon pail thinking I would get two oil changes for my diesel truck which needs 10 quarts per change. I carefully measured the quarts for the first oil change, using only 10 quarts. That should have left 10 quarts for the second change. When I did the next change, I came up 3/4 of a quart short. I called the company and was told they fill the pails by weight, not by volume or liquid measurement. I informed them that I had purchased 5 gallons, regardless of how they fill the pails and that i was now short for a complete oil change. The customer service person apologized and immediately sent me a couple quarts, free of charge. I was advised that they would be looking into the filling process to ensure that 5 gallons was in fact 5 gallons.
It is a great synthetic oil and I am very happy with it. It deserves 5 stars and I would have given them except for the short change....

Used this oil in my Ford 7.3 with a slide in camper on the back. 5,000 miles driven. No loss of oil. Vehicle started and ran well. Toss up between Amsoil and Royal Purple. Make your own choice but Royal Purple does not make an oil filter for the 7.3. Extended drain intervals are good but you have to change your oil filter to extend. K&N were recommended by Royal Purple. Amsoil makes a filter so there is no inconvenience if you are traveling. All in all, it seemed to work well in my truck.Honest reviews on Royal Purple 04154 API-Licensed SAE 15W-40 High Performance

My 6-cylinder car has over 167,000 miles on it and the motor still purrs like a... well, you know. I recently added Royal Purple 15W-40 for the first time. After driving perhaps 1,500 miles with the Royal Purple, everything seems fine. The motor still purrs. Besides, how the heck can a regular consumer like me rate a motor oil unless something goes horribly wrong? If all goes well, you simply say that it's good stuff. And how does a regular consumer justify paying the price of this stuff? Perhaps in a year or so, when the Royal Purple has 12-15K miles on it, I wll give it another review. For now, I'll just say that...having it in my engine gives me a little more piece of mind. Just a little.
