The K&N oil filters make changing the filter a breeze because of the bolt head on the end of the filter. Great idea K&N.Best Deals for K&N KN-170C Harley Davidson High Performance Oil Filter
I'm not sure how an oil filter can be much better than another oil filter, but it does look good on my bike. Well maybe with the nut on the end, I'll appreciate it more when it comes time to remove it.Honest reviews on K&N KN-170C Harley Davidson High Performance Oil Filter

Filter went on the harley fine. Who knows if it works good. Sometimes you have to go by rep. I use the motorcycle Mobil I. It's $10 a quart. Does it work well? I don't know but something about it makes me trust it. I have put Mobil 1 in all my vehicles (24) for the last 30 Years. Never had to work on an engine. Does the oil get dirty? Duh. You stick with what you know. K&N seems to work well on the vehicle and on the test desk. I f the oil has no thermal breakdown and you keep it clean you should be good to go. Buy good oil and good filters for your cars and trucks. Lets keep it clean where it matters.Saturday, May 3, 2014
Reviews of Quaker State 550028514 10W-30 Advanced Durability Motor Oil - 5.1
I've been using Quaker State oil since 1976 and I've never once had a car problem due to the oil being the cause. I'm not a chemist so what makes one oil better than another I do not know but if I drove a $250,000 for sports car I would probably put more expensive oil in the engine but since I do not this oil it's my needs and my budget. I use this in all four of my vehicles and also in my lawnmower. I like the 5 quart size and the way they designed the jug with two handles. Purchasing the oil through Amazon's saves me about two dollars over the local parts store.
Highly recommended.

I bought this 5 gallon pail thinking I would get two oil changes for my diesel truck which needs 10 quarts per change. I carefully measured the quarts for the first oil change, using only 10 quarts. That should have left 10 quarts for the second change. When I did the next change, I came up 3/4 of a quart short. I called the company and was told they fill the pails by weight, not by volume or liquid measurement. I informed them that I had purchased 5 gallons, regardless of how they fill the pails and that i was now short for a complete oil change. The customer service person apologized and immediately sent me a couple quarts, free of charge. I was advised that they would be looking into the filling process to ensure that 5 gallons was in fact 5 gallons.
It is a great synthetic oil and I am very happy with it. It deserves 5 stars and I would have given them except for the short change....

Changed oil all kinds all my life. This is the first one I ever noticed a difference in increased horsepower and lower engine noise. The car just purred like a kitten. Seriously...it made a difference. Gas mileage improved as well... amazing...Best Deals for Royal Purple 04154 API-Licensed SAE 15W-40 High Performance
Used this oil in my Ford 7.3 with a slide in camper on the back. 5,000 miles driven. No loss of oil. Vehicle started and ran well. Toss up between Amsoil and Royal Purple. Make your own choice but Royal Purple does not make an oil filter for the 7.3. Extended drain intervals are good but you have to change your oil filter to extend. K&N were recommended by Royal Purple. Amsoil makes a filter so there is no inconvenience if you are traveling. All in all, it seemed to work well in my truck.Honest reviews on Royal Purple 04154 API-Licensed SAE 15W-40 High Performance
For the discount price I bought it at ($72.00) it was cheaper than buying 5 gallon containers, but not as convenient to fill my 12 quart diesel system. Seems to help truck run cooler and better performance than normal oil.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Royal Purple 04154 API-Licensed SAE 15W-40 High Performance
My 6-cylinder car has over 167,000 miles on it and the motor still purrs like a... well, you know. I recently added Royal Purple 15W-40 for the first time. After driving perhaps 1,500 miles with the Royal Purple, everything seems fine. The motor still purrs. Besides, how the heck can a regular consumer like me rate a motor oil unless something goes horribly wrong? If all goes well, you simply say that it's good stuff. And how does a regular consumer justify paying the price of this stuff? Perhaps in a year or so, when the Royal Purple has 12-15K miles on it, I wll give it another review. For now, I'll just say that...having it in my engine gives me a little more piece of mind. Just a little.Thursday, January 30, 2014

This product is all my mechanics want, we us it in our lift trucks. Good stuff,
would recommend it for equipment you can't get to too service on a regular basis.I want to tell you somethin' off up in heeyah now! We took the plastic sheeting like they said in the instructions and stapled it to the walls about 3 feet up and poured that puppy in there! My cousins and me jumped in there and started slippin' and slidin' and we got all miscombobulated and ended up in a kinda configuration like a kickboard body surf wall lining. We was all around that house but nobody was in it I want to tell you! You know, the funny thing was, my wife's bra got lubricated and she kinda spilt out a little. Of course my cousins thought that was manna from Heaven rainin' down like gum drops from chim-ney tops. After they calmed down they all wanted to play football then and I needed a drink so we didn't do that but them cousins got out there and played some greased pigskin. Especially that female cousin. She whooped all them boys asses. I got a grand-daddy that'd whoop her ass though. But anyway, this is some good lube and it's non-toxic and bio-degradable so it won't make your significant other break out in some kinda rash or somethin'. It's a pretty purple color too like grape KoolAid. My Grandad told me he smelled grape bubble gum evertime he poured that stuff on the floor. I can't witness for that but he's old.

Discount Lucas Oil 10765 SAE 50WT Synthetic Motorcycle Oil - 1 Quart Bottle
I have owned my 2002 Road King for 9 of it's 12 years on earth and I just recently happened to read my manual regarding oil recommendations. It gets really hot in the summertime here in Arkansas and I ride a lot in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. I was surprised to read that Harley recommends a 50W oil for use in extreme heat conditions, so I ordered some Lucas 50W synthetic from Amazon since it was the only 50W synthetic I could find. So far I am very happy with the oil. No oil consumption, no heat issues so far and the price was right. Of course Lucas and Amazon have stellar reputations so I had no hesitation with my purchase choice.

Review of Hydro-Turf Oil Extractor OIL01
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $55.95
Sale Price: $49.96
Today's Bonus: 11% Off

I have used the oil extractor a number of times for changing oil on my boat and jet ski and it works great. Make sure you warm up the oil by running the engine before extracting it will allow the oil to move more easily into the vesel.
My car has a pan underneath that takes a few screws to remove in order to get access to the oil drain plug. Extracting from the top is just easier.
THIS IS MY SECOND EXTRACTOR:
I used to own the Mityvac which broke after a few uses. Replacement parts were too expensive and I ended up tossing the $75 product. The thing was bulky, hard to fit into the car when taking it to dump the oil. Other complaints include the hose being too short and requiring too may pumps to extract oil. Many complaints about that, so I wanted a better alternative when it came to replacing the unit.
WHY I CHOSE THE HT MOTO EXTRACTOR:
It's the only thing available.
Smaller and therefore easier to store.
Great reviews.
Price was right.
DO I LOVE THE HT MOTO EXTRACTOR?
Although it doesn't take continuous pumping and is actually not recommended, it requires repumping during the oil change. I suppose this is typical and is the only way to really do it. Scientifically speaking, it's the nature of the beast, so no complaints. It is what it is.
The unit itself is super small. It's like a cute oversized 6 liter teapot. The size makes it easier to store and I believe the tiny size also makes it easier to create a vacuum if you're extracting about that much oil out of your car. The larger Mitivac took awhile b/c the volume of air is so much relative to the oil being extracted.
The unit is easy to put together. A 5 year old could do it and it does not require any tools.
The small size is not only functional, but is easy to put in the car for dumping at your local place where you do that.
The hose is long enough. I used to have to put the Mitvac on top of a box of Mobile 1 oil to get it high enough off the ground to make it work. I could have bought a new hose, but at $75, it should have everything I need. The HT Moto is much better in terms of this.
No complaints on this unit. It does what it's supposed to do and does it better than the competition. The price is more competitive and it's easier to store. No regrets on the purchase. Although it takes me just as long to do my oil change as it would if I had to put my car up, crawl under there, remove the pan and pull the drain plug, at least I can write this review while my oil's being extracted automatically from the HT Moto oil extractor.
Time to go repump.....
Once all the oil is out it is in spill proof contaner and easy to bring to the local tire/oil change/auto part place to recycle. I really love this tool.
On my 2010 VW JSW (Jetta Sportwagen) TDI (Turbo Direct Injection Diesel) the Dealer wants $85 after all the tax and Haz Mat disposal. Although the recommend oil change interval are every 10K; I do it at about 6,500-7,500. Oil and filter are about $50. Money I save I can change oil more often.
VW has a belly pan that requires 19 screws be removed.... to access the drain. It takes me 30 min from start to finish to change oil and filter with the Hydro-Turf Oil Extractor. It would be double that going from the bottom and a lot more messy.
VW recommends you change the drain plug and crush washer everytime.... another $4 every oil change. The oil filter is on top of the engine in a canister so there is no need to get under the car. Also the oil filter is vertical and sits on top; the base of the oil filter housing has some deep pockets in the base. I used the hydro-turf oil extractor is great at getting every drop of oil out of the oil filter housing, a significant amount, at least 3 to 5 ounces of oil...... Again what little old oil remains is insignificant and with the ability to drain the oil filter housing, not possible with out an extractor, it is as good as drain from the bottom at the pan method in my opinion. Highly recommend.

Having been an ASE certified double master technician for over 24 years, I can honestly say this is one of those products that is worth every penny and works flawlessly. It is well constructed, durable and easy to set up and use. I recommend this product for any do-it-yourselfer who is into maintaining any yard, hobby, or big toys they may have.Best Deals for Hydro-Turf Oil Extractor OIL01
This thing is awesome, I wish I had got one years ago. The end section is made of a flexable metal with coated plastic making it easy to squirrel around and find them hidden puddles of oil. I originally got it for a small bicycle engine that requires to turn upside down and pour out through the fill part. But no more will I be taking out the oil plug on my cars and missing the pan. Just pump it about nine or ten times and watch the oil run out...Only downside is you might have to explain what it is if your probation officer does a home visit.Honest reviews on Hydro-Turf Oil Extractor OIL01

I can not beleive how GREAT this tool is. It makes oil changes a JOY, clean and easy. I have been changing oil in my cars for 35 years. I have lots of memories of laying on my back with oil running down my arm, or spilling oil out a pan or dropping the drain plug into a pan full of oil..... NO LONGER..... I am sure I am getting 99% of the oil out by going down dip stick hole.Once all the oil is out it is in spill proof contaner and easy to bring to the local tire/oil change/auto part place to recycle.
