I have found that when you run full synthetic, and change it two or three times a year, they all seem to be equal in what they do for your engine. What I looked for was a synthetic that was made for my engine type. The price level of this oil is very fair and affordable. I think you can not go wrong.

Not much to say about paper oil filters except that these Fram filters do come with the o-ring. Oddly, other aftermarket filters may not. So check before you buy. The filter fit the application, no worries. Use the small plastic bag it comes in for disposing of the old filter.

The one nice thing about cartridge type filters, is that you can obviously see any defects. This one was perfect in every respect. I personally have never seen or had first had knowledge of an engine failure due to a defective fram filter.

This filter works great and replaced the OEM perfectly! Comes with a new seal which fit correctly. Oil had never been changed since new so this was a great improvement.

I use SynPower 5w-30 in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra which is my work vehicle. I go 5000 miles between oil changes with synthetic oil and sent samples to Blackstone Industries, a well-known oil analysis company in Indiana (I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area). I do a lot of stop and go driving in Texas heat but a lot of interstate travel as well. I also do a lot of idling.

Even at 5000 miles they said the oil looked great and still had most if not all of it's protective properties and then recommended me going 6000 miles before changing it the next time.

I've used this for my last few oil changes on my '04 Colorado, and I've noticed that my engine feels decidedly more smooth as it runs, and when I drain the oil it's color has not degraded nearly as much as other oils I've used.

After working in motorsports, and trying pretty much every oil that is out there, Valvoline is the winner. I had always been a huge Castrol Syntec use in all of my vehicles, and they do make a great product, but recently their prices have changed and the introduction of Syntec Edge, and Edge with Titanium I decided to make a switch, no need for Castrol to get fancy with differences in their product.

Valvoline SynPower has provided great, smooth running for my car and very little if any oil has been burned. I run this for at least 5,000 miles in my car and could probably go over 7500. You will not regret this product in your car.

If you have an older car and have been running conventional oil for a long time, do not be mad if you switch to a synthetic and start to get leaks. Synthetic oils will break up the "gunk" that has been formed and may open up leak areas, so make sure you do your research before buying if you're going to try and switch to synthetic.

Big fan of getting my oil via Amazon subscribe and save. Setting the duration to 6 months is perfect for my change interval and it reminds me I need to change the oil when it arrives.

Regarding the oil itself, benchmarks shows that Valvoline Syn is one of the better mass oils you can get. I've never had an issue with it and change it every 7k on my turbo car and 10k on my regular gas car. I've done oil analysis at these intervals several times and things look great.

Valvoline Full SYNPOWER is just as good if not better than Mobil One, and they are about the same price, where I shop the Valvoline 5 quart jug is about 3 dollars more than Mobil 1, but I will not step away from a proven oil that I have used in all of my cars, from My Ford Taurus to Jaguar Vandenplas, go ahead and step up if you want your engine to run properly and use VALVOLINE. Mobil 1 & Castrol are comparable, and Royal Purple may be the best Synthetic Motor Oil on the planet, although it costs nearly $10 a quart...Go VALVOLINE!!!

I bought this 5 gallon pail thinking I would get two oil changes for my diesel truck which needs 10 quarts per change. I carefully measured the quarts for the first oil change, using only 10 quarts. That should have left 10 quarts for the second change. When I did the next change, I came up 3/4 of a quart short. I called the company and was told they fill the pails by weight, not by volume or liquid measurement. I informed them that I had purchased 5 gallons, regardless of how they fill the pails and that i was now short for a complete oil change. The customer service person apologized and immediately sent me a couple quarts, free of charge. I was advised that they would be looking into the filling process to ensure that 5 gallons was in fact 5 gallons.

It is a great synthetic oil and I am very happy with it. It deserves 5 stars and I would have given them except for the short change....

Used this oil in my Ford 7.3 with a slide in camper on the back. 5,000 miles driven. No loss of oil. Vehicle started and ran well. Toss up between Amsoil and Royal Purple. Make your own choice but Royal Purple does not make an oil filter for the 7.3. Extended drain intervals are good but you have to change your oil filter to extend. K&N were recommended by Royal Purple. Amsoil makes a filter so there is no inconvenience if you are traveling. All in all, it seemed to work well in my truck.

For the discount price I bought it at ($72.00) it was cheaper than buying 5 gallon containers, but not as convenient to fill my 12 quart diesel system. Seems to help truck run cooler and better performance than normal oil.

My 6-cylinder car has over 167,000 miles on it and the motor still purrs like a... well, you know. I recently added Royal Purple 15W-40 for the first time. After driving perhaps 1,500 miles with the Royal Purple, everything seems fine. The motor still purrs. Besides, how the heck can a regular consumer like me rate a motor oil unless something goes horribly wrong? If all goes well, you simply say that it's good stuff. And how does a regular consumer justify paying the price of this stuff? Perhaps in a year or so, when the Royal Purple has 12-15K miles on it, I wll give it another review. For now, I'll just say that...having it in my engine gives me a little more piece of mind. Just a little.
