Dorman 65292 AutoGrade Oil Drain Plug Gaskets (Pack of 4) Review
good item, can't complain. Does what it is supposed to do. It's a little expensive than if you were to buy these in bulk.

I bought these washers to do an oil change on my mazda3. I used to skip the washer all together, but after doing some research, its mechanically better to have the washer so its easier to remove the oil bolt in the futureBest Deals for Dorman 65292 AutoGrade Oil Drain Plug Gaskets (Pack of 4)

Discount Life Cycle 62956 SAE 5W-20 Motor Oil - 32 oz., (Pack of 12)
I used this oil for two oil changes covering 5K miles each in my Ford Fusion, and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. I noticed no difference in MPG or vehicle operation compared to the name brand oils I typically use. I believe this oil is made by Warren Oil which is a very large oil refiner / marketer in the U.S. with a great reputation for quality lubricants. Re-refined oil is a terrific advancement in oil refining technology, and I wish more oil companies would take advantage of it. There is literally no downside for the consumer. The oil performs as good if not better than traditional motor oil, it helps reduce our dependence on foreign oil, saves energy (vs. refining crude oil), and lessens environmental impact. I'm not a tree hugger, but I love it when I can help my country and my planet without paying more or sacrificing performance.

Discount Fumoto F-111N Engine Oil Drain Valve
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $35.95
Sale Price: $26.50

I like the ease with which one can "drop oil" with this mod. THE biggest drawback is the worry of the valve somehow being knocked into the open position when you're underway. Granted, this is a very unlikely scenario but for the minimal cost of a dollar more it should INCLUDE the correct size "wire style" hose clamp that I've seen used to help prevent that. These style hose clamps are getting increasing harder to find, so it looks like I'll have to get one from oildrainvalve.net to complete this installation. Otherwise, great !

I had one of these on my Miata, and was extremely happy to find one that fits my Ford E-450 6.0 diesel, especially since it holds 15 quarts of oil. This drain valve replaces the OEM plug, which always seems to make a mess, when removed to drain the oil. The lever locks in place, and will not open accidentally, and also allows you to close it when your oil catch pan gets full, if you should happen to have a large oil capacity engine like I do. Another way to avoid cleaning up a wind blown oil stream is to fit a rubber or plastic hose (clear is ideal, so you can see when the oil is finished draining) either in the drain hole, or over the nipple, if you spend a few more bucks to get the one with the nipple. If you vehicle is elevated, you can then direct the oil into gallon containers, such as empty bleach bottles, and skip cleaning an oil pan. (Not to mention fishing around for the plug in a pan full of dirty oil.) This is a great product, and I'm told that almost all auto manufacturers endorse it. Two things you need to be aware of before ordering it. One: It does extend from the oil pan a bit further than the OEM plug does, especially if you get one with the nipple. So make sure you have the ground clearance. (Which I did, even with my low sitting Miata.) Two: Some oil pans have a recessed plug. If yours does, you will have to buy an extension/adaptor. Don't worry, Amazon sells them, too. The first time you change your oil using this valve, you won't regret the purchase. It's an idea who's time should have come long ago, and well worth it!Best Deals for Fumoto F-111N Engine Oil Drain Valve
