These OEM filters have the silicone anti-drainback valve in them, to keep the oil in your top end when the engine is not running. Aftermarket filters allow the oil to drain back into the pan, causing more wear in the engine at startup, which you do not want.

Amazon price is getting very high on these(7.99 each)Bought several when they had them for 4.50 each. Wal-Mart had them today for 3.99 .I bought a dozen at that price. It is a great filter. The dealer cut in half a Fram and a Motorcraft and displayed them side by side. The Motorcraft had twice as many pleats which = more filtering.

The filter is of excellent quality and made really well. I ordered these because I could not find the filters anywhere in my area at such a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

No leaking, filters well, no particulates coming out of the filter after a change. It's big and has a lot of filtering material so I know it will last. Seems very well built.

Customer Ratings:

This is the oil additive to have for the 6.0L Ford diesels. We have two of the 6.0L diesels and literally hated to start them in the mornings. With this additive, no more dreading the starts or trips to Ford for injector repair! Hardest thing to do now is keep my foot off of the accelerator because it is so much fun now.
