Don't skimp too much on oil and filters. Paying a little more for sythentic oil and good filters are cheap over the life of your car. I have 3 vehicles with over 550,000 miles (total) and none burn very much oil, and have never had any internal engine problems.

Received filter in two days. When I went to change oil I opened the box only to find a dented filter. Leary of using a damaged filter I went to the parts store and bought a replacement.

Don't want to risk damage to my engine should the dented filter split.

I use to change my oil every 3,000 miles so the Jiffy lube filters were fine. Now that my SUV has 80,000 miles and does not get the use it use to, I decided to go 5,000 miles between changes and that could mean my oil will be in the engine for almost a year between changes. I switched to synthetic oil and did a bunch of research on oil filters. This one with the Filtech media kept appearing at the top of everyones list. As usual Amazon did its part on price and delivery. The filter seems solid and fits well. Not much more to say from this end. I did the research and for the money this filter ranks at the top of the list.

One last thing. My 2005 Lexus uses the same filter and I had one in my cart ready to purchase in the near future. I noticed one day that the price had gone down by 50% so I jumped on it. Next day it was back up there. Love those impromptu sale offers.

This filter is made from high quality materials. If you value your vehicle I suggest only using high quality parts even if its just an oil filter. This filter will filter out any debris in the oil. Just as with any oil filter, you replace it when you change your motor oil.

One thing I am dissapointed with, is Amazon. Their part look-up is not correct or accurate at all. Amazon said this part isn't work with my vehicle anymore, even when it did say it was compatible 7 months ago.

Overall a great product like this shouldn't be hurt in reviews just because the seller lacks accuracy. 5 stars for the Filter and 2 stars for Amazon.

this filter costs 3-4 more at the store and with free shipping there is no reason you shouldn't get this filter. It should allow you to change the filter every other oil change if you change every 3000.

I've been using Sun gauges since before they were sunpro but were called SunTune. They always work. They look ok. They last a long time. Their movements aren't very fluid... the needles jerk and are "springy". They sometimes stick unless tapped on (typical auto vibrations keep them moving). Build quality is ok, though maybe not as good as they used to be, but they work, and still seem of better quality than most of the newcomers.

The oil pressure gauge has had some corners cut, I think. The sender, actually. O.P. gauges they used to sell had a sender that offered more detail. This one seems to "step" every 10 psi or so.... so the gauge doesn't rise and fall but rather stair-steps up and down. Between 0-55psi mine probably has 5 positions on the dial.

The backlighting is BRIGHT when compared to the designs in most dashes today. Suggest adding bulb covers. The backlighting style/method also fits more in the 60's-80's than a newer car.

But if you need the gauge and don't want to spend any more on autometer, this is probably a good choice.

I like the size and white background. This guage is electrical and works well. I wish Sunpro would make a full sweep version like they do for their mechanical version. I think the full sweep guages are easier to read and look more cool.

It was easy to install, 3 wire (postiive, negative and sensor) it worked well withe the stock sensor on my 93 jeep wrangler 4.0 but I'm thinking to install the oil pressure sending units it comes with, instead of the stock jeep sending unit.

This guage with the number face turned about 25% clockwise. Worked with it awhile and could not figure out how to fix it. SunPro gauges are noramlly a good product. Maybe this one just got by quality control.

I used this product in my parts washer. It will indeed clean just about anything extremely well.

I diluted it in my parts washer with an equal part water. I later discovered that I should have gone with more like 5 parts water. After about a week, it removed the paint from the parts washer. My own fault but it shows just how powerful a product this is.

Used this product for years,,purchased at Costco. however lately it has not been available therefore I was happy to be able to purchase on line. My wife uses this product to clean EVERYTHING stains,spots laundry etc and I use it on any oily or greasy cleaning task . I also go to Mexico about once a month and the Fishermen all want me to bring Oil Eater as they use it for any cleaning they have. We all agree there is NO finer cleaning product anywhere regardless of the many claims that are made by the so called:" MAJOR CLEANING SUPPLY COMPANIES" ????

I was replacing the clutch on my rear-engine VW Vanagon, and was changing the transaxle oil. The manual calls for GL-4 gear oil. Online I read that the newer GL-5 gear oils have more additives, some of which can be harmful to bronze parts found inside some older transmissions. Checking around, I found no one here in the NW Chicago suburbs seemed to stock it. But here on Amazon, I found exactly what i was looking for, and at a terrific price. It arrived quickly and well-packed. I'm vey pleased. :-]

this product is really good. I put it in my 2000 cavalier which has 237000 miles on it and it does the job. My car runs great and for the price of this oil. Damn it does a good job. I've been buying Peak ATF and motor oil cases off Amazon for a while now, because it's some of the most afforadble lubricants available. I'm no automotive engineer, and not a chemist, so I can't speak as to the "quality" of oils or the real differences between one brand or another. I do know that a LOT of products we buy all come from the same places, just with different labels on them (and different prices). I've been using the Peak oils for a few years in my cars, trucks, RV's, etc. After 25 years of maintaining my own vehicles, and tearing down some of them, and learning to notice differences in colors and smells of used oils, I can honestly say this oil lubricates and lasts just as well as the other "name" brands I've used in the past. My cars are lasting, running, driving, and shifting just fine. Any oil is only as good as the maintenance schedule you apply to it.
