I used this because its better than fram. I've personally done a few filter cut-aways and this is exactly the same as the K&N for my car, but cheaper. Metal bypass valves with silicone rubber seals compared to the KN flimsy valves. Not as good as the OEM Honda filter (better drain, more pleats) but not bad.

Works perfectly in my 1994 Honda Accord! Not much else to say other then its a oil filter and does the job.

I researched oil filters for my Honda minivan and read some very detailed discussions and analysis from people who had gone into great depth, and the best one they found was the Bosch. I was able to find the one I needed here on Amazon. Works for me.

Great oil for my car and the really hot climate. Used to be able to get this in the gallon containers but that went away over a year ago and hasn't returned. Oil well, maybe next year.

You can pay more, but you can't buy better. As good as the $20 a quart stuff. Have been using for years, the last 12 yrs I have ran this in Harley Davidson Twin Cam motors where oil temps routinely reach 250 degs. Zero failures

I use this in a hot rod with 550hp and works great. The viscosity stays the same whether hot or cold and that is the big advantage with synthetic motor oil. It also contains more of the additives needed by high performance engines for long camshaft life. Also with the slipperyness of synthetic motor oil, there is a performance gain. I have been using Mobil 1 for years in all my cars and trucks.

Full synthetic motor oil is the best thing since sliced bread for small air cooled engines, such as lawnmowers and snowblowers. My five star rating is based on that application. In my opinion, full synthetic motor oil is very expensive overkill in the family car, with the exception of engines that were designed from the ground up to require it. I would give Mobil One only two stars for automotive use due to the excessive cost.

Air cooled engines have very poor temperature control. The hot spots get so hot that conventional oil burns to fine particles of carbon. You can see conventional oil turn to a dark brown color after only a few runs of the engine after an oil change. That's not dirt getting into the engine; it's immediate thermal breakdown of the oil.

The typical air cooled engine only takes 0.75 quart for an oil change, so the price premium over conventional oil is trivial. You should change the oil every year, but if you don't, you will notice that the oil stays clean looking for several seasons.

The viscosity grade of Mobil One 15W-50 is perfect for lawnmowers. For a snowblower, consider 0W-40 instead.

It's a different story for the water cooled engines in cars. Tight thermal control has been the name of the game ever since emission regulations were enacted in 1968, with every new generation of engines being better than the last. Cold spots produce CO and unburned hydrocarbons, and hot spots produce nitrogen oxides. Both have been eliminated. Remember that full synthetics were invented for use on the Alaska pipe line project. Not many of us in the lower 48 will ever have to start our cars at -50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Dorman 090-171 Oil Drain Plug - Pack Of 5 Review

Dorman 090-171 Oil Drain Plug - Pack Of 5

Looks and feels just like the OEM, at a bargain price. The crush washer is captive, unlike the older drain plugs on my older vw's had a separate washer,so I just changed the 49 cent washers, so this should be changed out after a couple of oil changes so it don't start to leak. So I keep a few around, Dorman I see makes all kinds of parts for every one, good stuff. And it looks to be well made, not poorly machined, looks and feels right. priced right at Amazon

These plugs are good quality. I recently started changing the oil on a 09 VW Jetta and I read that you must replace the drain plug after every oil change and thats why I purchased these. It does what it's supposed to ....I think I could have gotten the old plug to seal though. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Bolted right up. Great deal. Multi pack is a great idea as these are suggested at every oil change. Different head size than stock but no big deal.

These look like OEM plugs with the crush washer built in. Perfect fit, perfect functionality! Installed on 2010 Passat with 2.0L TSI motor.

5 pieces for just under $7? Such a bargain!

I own a 2007 VW GTI with a 2.0T engine, and this replacement drain plug worked perfectly. On my other autos, I normally just change the washer each time I change the oil. In this case, I don't believe the washer comes off of the drain plug, so you are forced to buy a new plug with washer attached. I've read that they call it a "crush washer" and is only intended for a one time use. With Amazon.com, the price is so reasonable, and it just makes good sense to replace the drain plug and crush washer each time you change the oil in your precious automobile!

I spent a dozen years fighting wildfire and when it came time to do some serious clearing of my private land, I figured I'd grab one of these tried and true cans. Problem: Between my last fire and today, some idiot bureaucrat mandated that we have "low emission" gas cans. The child proof ratchet is just stupid; the clearances are poorly executed and it is difficult for an adult to manipulate. Out comes the pocket knife; off goes that bit of stupidity. But it gets worse--the "spillproof" nozzle is chock full of crevices and moving parts--hit this thing with a blast of chips from your saw, or dust from a passing truck, and you'll wind up sloshing gas out of your can to try and get the crap out of the crevices before you reverse it an immerse it in your fuel or oil. S-T-U-P-I-D comes to mind. And the "dust caps" have no flange on them, so they sit loosely on top of the nozzle when reversed--as if this thing is going to sit on a shelf and never be bumped, jostled, moved, carried, or tossed out of a helicopter (don't ask). In short, this "carb compliant" can creates far more problems than any leaky saw gas can ever created, and the doofus who designed it should be the designated catcher for the next tree I fall....

My wife bought this gas can for me as a birthday present. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking when this came off the drawing board, but do not waste your money on this piece of junk. The pour spout jams. The screw on spouts leak. The spring loaded cut off is almost impossible to manipulate. The chain oil compartment takes forever to let the chain oil pass through. I worked for about 2 hours to try to figure out what I was doing wrong, when I realized its' not me. One of the most poorly designed gas cans in existence. Keep your old gas can, and steer clear of this mess.

The spouts are very difficult to use. This item was purchased for use with a chainsaw, and the bar oil takes forever to run out the tip of the spout and is VERY messy and awkward. It takes two hands to operate and is near impossible to keep neat and clean.

Honest reviews on Briggs & Stratton 85310 2-Compartment 1-1/2 Gallon Gas and 2-1/2

I was a fool to purchase this, i figured Gas in one side bar oil in the other, simple right? WRONG! The C.A.R.B. idiots figured a way to make this thing even more frustrating by using the same nozzles for both fluids! The bar oil takes forever to dispense. plus you can't put the nozzles back in for safe keeping leaving the nozzles to just collect dirt that you will pour RIGHT INTO YOUR SAW. Im going to try and get my money back.

Fabulous idea but terrible at the same time. First of all the 2 "halves" should be able to separate. I'm thinking 2 separate containers that can be clipped together for transport. Once at the location where you are working you can then separate them to make it easier to actually use. Which brings me to these spouts. I just spent the second weekend in a row with a bunch cutting new access trails though the woods. Each guy had a different set of cans to hold oil, gas mix, and a larger can for just gas. I'd say out of a dozen, maybe 4 didn't have all the new "safety" features by-passed in one way or another. And every single can even with the safety features bypassed or not leaked almost without exception. The worst offenders were these spouts with the green turn ring and push to dispense. I don't know who designed these devices or who makes them but I will never use or own another. Mine went right into the dumpster this morning and I'm running far away from anything EPA approved or has child resistant features. Its time the government stops budding into things they know nothing about, have false data on, or is supported by the liberal party. Its time to take back our personal rights... DO NOT BUY until they replace the spout with something sensible.
