Probably the single best oil money can buy. This oil consists of mostly Group V base stock, which is why the price is so high, even among "boutique" oils. But if you are a racer or run a car very hard that is already tough on oil (turbo's, direct injection, etc, are brutal on an oil) this may be for you.

I am pushing 400 WHP (horsepower at all four wheels, not at the crankshaft horsepower, which is the usual rating), from a turbocharged 2.5 liter engine, on road racing courses, with sustained high RPMs for 20 minutes periods. In one day that is like driving 80 miles while you brutalize your engine for all it's worth. In approximately twenty such days I have never had an oil related failure.

This is not your everyday oil for your daily driver. It is a low viscosity range oil for a high pressure, high performance, high temperature engine.

Keep that in mind. It is not cheap, so there are better, more cost effective synthetic oil options for a street car.

This oil has a very high tbn and is rich in anti-wear ingredients. My cars run smoother and get better mileage with this stuff. Redline is a oil good too, however, customer service sucks there. Rp customer service and tech support is much better.

Not to be confused with over the shelf rp at pep boys. This is a different oil.

I have owned two Subaru WRX's over the past five years and have used many different types of synthetic oils in them.

I notice that Redline's oil seems to degrade and burn-off less than other oils...mainly Mobil1. I would recommend this oil to people who drive turbo cars aggressively. Not all synthetics are made to the same quality and it seems like Redline is one of the better brands. I also recommend their gear oil for transmissions and differentials.

Decided on Redline after much research on the best "ester based" synthetic oil. This is my 5th oil change to date with Redline 5W30 going about 5200 miles between. In the past using dino oil and other synthetics I would notice a huge difference in smoothness both at running speed and idle immediately after a fresh oil change only to wane midway through oil change cycle. Not with this oil, engine is just as smooth even at the back end of 5200 miles. Probably could go a couple of thousand more on this oil. It would be interesting to send in a used sample for testing just to see how much accumulated particles from wear are there. I trust this oil to wait a bit longer for my next oil change if need be, the protection is there.

After reading all the information regarding oil, zddp additives, (lack of) API certification, I bought 24 quarts for my brand new Honda Euro (Acura TSX). I won't be fooled by the API sticker, as it does not signify or indicate the quality of the oil.

I wasn't expecting to tell much difference after just 1000km on the odometer, but the difference was there! Time will tell how well those additives work, but I have faith in Redline.

Honest reviews on Red Line 5W30 Synthetic Oil - 1 Quart, Pack of 12

Notable difference in how smooth the engine runs. Oil should last for 7500mi as well (according to website), so you can get that extra protection for your engine and save some money too. Great buy!

Had the ticking noise common in the later VQ35 engines. The very expensive blend Nissan was known to solve this but I gave this a try and it worked for slightly less money and benefit of full synthetic formula.

Had oil leaking from rear main seal in '03 Maxima and got 5 estimates to replace in the $700 to $950 price range. $42 part and the rest was labor. One mechanic suggested I try AT 205 first so I stopped by his shop and bought a bottle. I don't like using any engine additives but he said he used it in one of his high mileage personal cars with good results. Poured it in and over night the leak was gone. That was 3 weeks ago and no more oil spot in the driveway...

I put the 8 ounces bottle into car engine and it helps. There is an acceptable itsy bitsy leak left. You can watch "Fixing Oil Seal Leaks Fast" video on YouTube by scottykilmer. You need 8 ounces for car engine or transmission usage, and 3 ounces for power steering. I am going to order more for power steering and transmission usage.

Petroleum distillate rubber conditioners will temporarily soften rubber seals, then turn them to mush over time. Not AT-205 Re-Seal! I've used this in two motorcycles (31 and 27 years old), as well as two cars (a 1996, and a 2003), over two years ago, as a preventative measure. No problems, no issues, other than it helped eliminate one oil leak. I originally found this product in an auto-parts store, for around $7 more than I paid here (minus S/H). Even with the postage fees, this came out to be $6 less, per bottle, ordering three at a time, than I would have paid buying it semi-locally (had to drive to a neighboring town, 40 miles away -no one locally carries it).

This stuff is non-toxic, and it is NOT made from petroleum. I don't know what is made from, but I know it works, as described. I recently had an O-ring that was shrunken, and leaking oil, on one of my motorcycles (previous treatments didn't reach this part which is more external). I traced the leak to the proper O-ring, cleaned off the oil from it, and then I wetted it with AT-205, using a paper towel soaked with it. I waited 20 minutes, then I put the O-ring back in place, and secured the part into place. I ran the engine for 10 minutes, without any signs of a leak. I then let the motorcycle sit overnight, and 5+ days later: no leaks, it is completely dry, where before, I would find oil pooled beneath the side-stand, in my garage.

I am now using it in both motorcycles' crankcases, as well as both cars' crankcases, and both automatic transmissions. I don't have any leaks, but I want to keep it that way! I would recommend this product to anyone. It is safe, and it is effective. Cheers!

Honest reviews on ATP AT-205 Re-Seal Stops Leaks, 8 Ounce Bottle

I have a 1994 Hyundai Scoupe that I use for short trips around town and back and forth to work. My old friend sprung a leak from the rear main seal that was DRAINING oil at approximately a quart in 15-20 minutes with the car running. I took it to a garage and they wanted more money to fix it than the car is worth. The first day I used AT-205 and ran the car for an hour and a half the leak stopped. However, the next time I started the car to run it for a another hour or so the leaked returned so it appears that AT-205 was only a short term fix. The bottle says it takes 5 hours to seal a rear main leak so I may run it for another hour or two and see what happens. All in all, it's still worth $10 to try as long as you buy it with the understanding that it is not going to fix a completely damaged or crumbled seal. I may take another reviewers advice and try a second bottle since the leak did stop after the first bottle but later returned.

Update (12/31): I was on my way to bring my car to a garage for repairs. Before going I refilled my oil with the oil / AT-205 that leaked out the second time I started the car after adding AT-205. On my way there I decided to pull over and look for a leak. To my amazement, the once gushing leak from the rear main seal was reduced to a mere drop at a very, very slow rate. I noted one review said it took almost three weeks for their leak to completely stop so I'll continue to drive the car and update accordingly. At this point I would have to say the AT-205 actually works. My car's oil leak was about a quart every 15 minutes and as of today has been reduced to a mere drop every 10-15 minutes.

Update (1/1): The leak returned. The car is in the garage for a rear main seal replacement costing $400. Do I regret buying AT-205? No. While it seemed to work at first I don't think any gasket conditioner will completely repair a badly damaged gasket or seal. However, IMO it is worth taking a chance on AT-205 prior to spending hundreds of dollars on seal replacements. I do believe most (not all) of the reviews on Amazon are from real people who have actually used the product and based on the mostly positive review of AT-205 I would recommend at least taking a chance that it may work for you.

As stated by other reviewers, results CAN vary. I have used it in the power steering system of a 91 Sable with mixed results. Over time, the leak came back-but putting a little more treatment did slow/stop the leak. I have no problem putting more in in the future. The seals between the pump & plastic reservoir was the issue-even though it was replaced.

I have also used this in an old 79 Pinto engine. The leak did slow down & I was happy with the results.

Keep in mind that this product reconditions GOOD seals. If there is a nick or damage to the seal, it will not work. Also, if the shaft is grooved (seal running in groove) it will not work. Basically, if the seal is cracked, sorry...it should be replaced.

People have to realize that after two applications of this product, if the leak does not improve/stop, there is damage to the seal/sealing surface. A "fix in a bottle" will not work. It is not a cure all.

Good luck!

[Note: Bosch has several models only Distance Plus is considered]

If you are do-it-yourselfer, K&N is most convenient (nut to remove, mark to rotate the last 3/4 turn). If you are a racing enthusiast, Mobil can withstand the max pressure (615 psi, Bosch 500 psi, close behind). If you are interested in changing filter as late as possible, Bosch holds the max contaminants (29.1g, Mobil 28g close behind). If you want max engine protection, Bosch is 99.9% efficient (Mobil 99.2% close behind).

Made in USA and filter is made out of good solid material and feels heavier than your cheap $4/5 filters. Will be using with Schaeffer's Synthetic oil which you can go on up to 10k miles, so wanted to pick up a good filter to use for the longer time of use with Synthetic oil. Product seems good and hopefully will withstand the long haul between oil changes. So far it looks good and feels well made here in USA.

This was a great price for these filters. Same one in my area was 2X as much money if I could find it. Item was received in original manufacturer box.

This is an outstanding Oil Filter, I have been using a Bosch 3330 Premium FILTECH Oil Filter on my wife's 1999 Saturn SL2 for many years. This car has a 1.9L engine and does not use any oil between changes. I use Castrol GTX 5W-30 Oil and change the Oil & Filter every 3,500 miles. This is my first time using the D3330 Distance Plus Oil Filter, but I expect it to keep the oil even cleaner than the Bosch 3330 Premium FILTECH Oil Filter. Using good Oil & an excellent Oil Filter has helped me keep my wife's car in top condition. I highly recommend using any Bosch Oil Filter...

i recently used this filter with synthetic oil change on my 2005 LS430. It seems well made and definately better quality than the filters oil change shops give you. It makes sense to use a premium filter if you are using better quality synthetic oil.

I am a big fan of Pennzoil Platinum. The oil analysis tests on it look very good and it's priced competitively with other often lesser brands of oil. I use it in my 2011 Mustang 5.0 and my Honda S2000.

Have not used Penzoil engine motor oil for a very long time but after finding out from Amazon that it qualifies for free shipping and comes out lower than my local stores, I've decided to give it a shot. I have not placed this order in a "subscribe" status since I needed it asap but will do in the future for another 15% discount for a subscription. Hopefully, this syn oil will live up to its name and advertising ploy.

Possibly the best overall rated full synthetic oil you can buy for the price point. I use on both my Ford Edge SUVs ..one an '11 w/ 72k mis..other a '13 w/ 12k mis. Engine is super smooth and very quiet. Oil drains near golden honey colored after 6, 000 intervals with Pennzoil Platinum filter or Motorcraft filter. Research this oil ..better than Mobil 1!
