This was the exact oil filter my Mercedes dealership used when I had warranty on my car. When the warranty ran out, I had to minimize my costs in maintaining my 02 C230 Kompressor. I used one of these to replace an OEM filter and it was NOT the same thing. The OEM piece was more rigid and actually looked of a higher quality. That being said, I've been using Mann filters in my other car for years and they seem to do a fine job. They are a lot cheaper than going to the dealer and getting one there. I'd recommend them, just thought people should be aware that at least on my car, it was not an exact match of the OEM filter.

I've used this filter now for 2 oil changes on my 93 300E mercedes. Seems to hold up well and doesnt get crushed or fall apart. You will need a special oil filter cap removal tool found online for $50. This filter "snaps" onto the bottom of the filter cap.

Don't you just hate it when you accidentally punch a hole into a new oil filter? I do. The Tekton solves my problem, both in taking the old off and installing the new. The filter should only be a smidge over hand-tight; this little baby takes the guess work out. You'll love it. Be sure to tighten the wrench center bolt. Mine arrived too loose but after a third of a turn with a crescent wrench, it now works perfectly.

The part is, indeed, the correct part. Be cautious removing the old one. It is possible to crack the housing the old one is screwed into while removing it. That's not the fault of the new one, though!

Purchased for a 2005 Nissan Xterra S. It works like the old one did ... it actually monitors pressure real time ... so it's not a dummy gauge that will only show if you have pressure or not. I hear the OEM part for the 2006 Xterra's and later only have a dummy gauge. With this one you see the needle move up and down from idle to full open throttle.
