I've got a lot of cars most of them with turbos and it's incredibly helpful to not have to buy different types of oil for each of them. Motul's 8100 X-cess is one of the highest quality synthetic oils you can buy, satisfying many stringent VW/Audi and Mercedes Benz specifications for durability and extended changes including many diesel specs. I bought it specifically for my Audi turbo, but I use it in pretty much everything I own save my old GM 6.5l diesel, which gets Motul's 6100 semi-synthetic. I buy both the 8100 and 6100 from Amazon since their prices are as good as anywhere, and at the end of the day I get oils that are at least as good (and probably better) than more commonly available Mobil 1, etc. at a modest but not unappreciated savings.

I drive my wrx in the city and also do some auto x and track days. This stuff doesn't appear to burn off between oil changes and is great for use all year around. I heard rotella T6 is cheaper and works as well but I'm an oil snob.

This is the best oil I've ever used. I'm running it in my 20 year old Mercedes Turbo Diesel after trying several other oils. With every other oil I've used (Mobil 1, Rotella T-6, Pentosin, etc.) in the car in the past year and a half I have had a sticky lifter that would become vocal every now and then at idle. Since switching to the Motul I have not heard a peep. Plus, the engine is quieter in general. Many people say it's a waste to use this oil on an old Mercedes and that there's no benefit, but I can assure you that this oil just might be magical. Really.

If you are looking at this oil, you likely own a Volksagen, Audi, Mercedes, or BMW. German auto manufacturers are particular about their oils and Motul is certified by all of them. Unlike American "Synthetic" oils, this is 100% synthetic and not a blend. Which means better consistency and lubrication for your engine. This was my first oil change in my recently acquired New Beetle 1.8 turbo and it has certainly brought a little extra to my bug over the previous conventional 10w-30.

The price is worth it and it can safely extend your oil change intervals to 5000, and in some cases, 7500 miles.

I run it in my 996 since it's not only Porsche recommended, but recommended by LN Engineering due to Motul not lowering their ZDDP levels. The top opens up with a funnel, which is great. The only reason the oil doesn't have a fifth star is the $15 increased price compared to Mobil 1, likely due to a lack of American distribution. Still, oil changes only happen every 5,000 miles, so if I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would.

I use this in my old Mercury outboard motor. Nice to know I'm doing less harm to the environment and waters using this. I don't know what else to say except try their other products too, they all work well. I use their 5W30 in my car (G Oil) with no issues. Keep making products like this!!!

This oil works beautifully in my 90hp Evinrude 2 stroke and it has the added bonus of being able to tell the anti 2-stroke crowd to go pound tar!

I'm all about doing what we can to protect and preserve our environment, especially our inbound freshwater lakes and estuaries. It's nice to have a product that takes the sting out of burning a conventional petroleum based oil. Would be a 5 star review if the price were a bit more competitive.

I find that this is a quality oil with all the appropriate independent seals of approval. I tend to change my oil more frequently then needed so I can not tell you about the longevity of the oil but I can tell you that when I change my oil it comes out nice and dirty which is what you want. The oil should be cleaning and suspending the dirt.

I change the oil myself for my wife's benz. This is the oil I use. I change my own oil to save time vs bringing it to the dealer which takes an 1.5 hours to drive there and sit there and wait.

I have ordered 5 (6) pack cases thus far over a few months. Every time I get it via UPS it has at least one or more bottles leaking all over the box. FedEx shipments always arrive perfect. So now I only order 2 day shipping so it will arrive on Saturday when FedEx is the only way I get deliveries. See my photo of a UPS box versus clean FedEx shipment. Both cases are boxed in a second box and no damage or crushed packaging. I am not sure if UPS drops them or tumbles them more but both boxes arrive with no physical damage. Although the UPS box always has oil leaking all over. Only 4 stars as I always get a leaking bottle due to packaging but still a very good oil for the price. Not sure if anyone else has the same issues I have.

I'm using this in my Nissan Frontier and my wife's Mini, both vehicles seem to like the oil as do I. Great price and quality seems on par with other synthetics.
