This is one of the few oils available in the US that meets VW standards for their TDI engines. It's the same stuff used by the dealer. I used it on my 2013 Jetta TDI Sportwagen.

If you own a VW or Audi with the 2.0 TDI engine this is the only oil you should use. I have 2010 Audi A3 TDI and although it's a great engine with outstanding fuel economy, it requires special oil. Don't skimp on cheaper oils get the real thing. This oil is it!

Not much to say about oil in a review, but the oil is the spec VW/Skoda calls for for my 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine. Not the cheapest oil, but I want my engine to last. Other companies make this same spec too, 507, so look around if you feel the need. In Europe I bought some Aral brand that is made by BP, which also makes Castrol. Not American oil, kind of strange.

This oil is what is recommended for my sports car. It has the right recipe for high performance at a fraction of the cost to have the dealer add the oil for you.

This is original spec oil 507 for the newer tdi...there is no compatibility issue or worry about your car's warranty.

I was in the Honda dealership in Kingman, Arizona having routine maintenance done on my 2009 Civic LX. Honda checked my engine and in-cabin air filters and showed me that BOTH were dirty and needed replacing. I told them to go ahead and replace them. The service rep said replacing both filters typically costs about $105.00.

I immediately told him to skip changing the filters. $105? I couldn't believe replacement filters were that much.

We stopped by WalMart on the way home to check their prices for replacements. $35.00 for both.

I've bought auto parts from Amazon before and saved a ton of money, so I checked their prices. I got both air filters PLUS an oil filter (which I'll eventually need) for $29.00. All products were eligible for free shipping (and no sales tax). Guess what? I just saved almost 25% by not buying from my local Kingman WalMart, AND I got a good Fram oil filter to boot!

Lessons learned...

1) DON'T BUY ANYTHING other than service from a Honda dealership. Their markup is ludicrous.

2) Unless you need it NOW, DON'T BUY ANYTHING from WalMart that you can get at Amazon. You'll save a bundle cheaper prices, no sales tax, and no gas used to go shopping!

I've used Fram filters for years and none have failed. These are well made and nicely engineered. Even Honda of America contracts with Fram to produce their replacement filters (albeit under the Honda name).

I've never noticed much of a difference between TG/XG & K&N. But what I do know is I can get a 7500-10k oil change with Royal Purple and either the Fram grip or K&N wrench end are CRITICAL to easy filter removal (and that's always oiling the gasket on install with 1/2 turn past initial contact). I'm about to finish my first 15k oil change with Amsoil & their 15k filter. Will see how that goes (so far still runs well -and close to my dream of 1 chg / yr). But for any other full synthetic, Fram is a great filter to use.

I've gone from changing my oil every 5k to 7.5k like the manual on my car suggests. Using this heavy duty filter gives me a piece of mind since my car is now over 100k miles. It's also saving my cash by not doing oil changes too often.

I decided to change the oil in my pickup truck, and looked for an oil change pack. I debated between a few brands, but being ever savvy, I selected Pennzoil due to the price. While I'm not opinionated that Pennzoil is the best brand, it's worked fine for me for 1 1/2 years.

I'm not sure how to asses the quality of motor oil except that I keep using this stuff (15,000 miles with oil changes ever 5,000 miles) and I've had no problems with my car. The big 5 quart jug is a good deal and has a convenient marked clear window strip on the handle so you can measure how much you've poured in.

i always look at the expiration date on everything i buy from the internet and sure enough it says 24jan13.. sold me some expired oil dont buy.

Kendall GT1 Semi-Syn is one of the best "semi-Syn" oils on the market. The Additive pack (the ingredients added to the oil to lessen wear and enhance lubrication properties) is one of the stoutest of any major brand store bought oil. I would recommend highly this oil to anyone who does not race their vehicle (unless it is the 20w50 which is commonly used in racing circles.)If you are someone who would like to extend their oil change intervals to between 5k and 10k, this is the oil you are looking for.

As the title states this is the best oil for the money. Only Quaker State Ultimate Durability may come close for quality and price.

I used to go to a shop to have my oil changed and they used this oil. The owner really liked this oil, so I looked up some reviews of it online. I found the site , which has people actually testing and reviewing used oil had favorable reviews of it. I then saw that it is actually a lot cheaper for me to buy it by the case and do it myself.

I'm using it in my 2000 Civic with 110k miles and after the second oil change with this oil the used oil still came out looking clean after 5500 miles. I'll continue to buy it until they don't stock it anymore.

This oil is for my 2012 Hyundai Azera. The dealer recommended a synthetic blend oil. This oil does that job for a fair price. I looked at other reviews for this oil and found no problems or red flags. I'm very satisfied so far.
