I have a 2006 Vulcan 900. I switched to DuraBlend at 9000 miles. I have not noticed much of a difference from the original except maybe the bike runs a little smoother. The only reason I'm giving this oil 4 not 5 stars is because it has not blown my mind. I hope that this product proves worth it in the long run. I would say for the price that this has been offered at about $6 per bottle its less expensive than other oil on the market. I've driven about 1000 miles so far and am fairly happy. I hope to post an update after 3-6000 miles.

Cheap Maxima Fork Oil - 10WT/16oz. 55916

On label says "custom formulated in USA" Means made nowhere (maybe in the basement)! Bough it online just to add little bit. Another fork oil bought in normal shop says "made in Switzerland". Also I ordered w15, the send me w10! Label said they only has w5, w10, w20 all labeled as a types for Harley Davidson. (w10 equals E) and i have Ninja 900! I've been using the Royal Purple 20w50 in my liquid-cooled Suzuki VZ800 Marauder, and the difference was noticeable. I immediately went from having the fan kick in at every single stoplight to having it come on about once every few days. Shifting immediately felt smoother (gearbox shares the engine oil) as well.

This stuff is amazing. If you're not sure and you don't want to spring for the case, get what you need in single bottles just to try it out. THEN you'll want to buy the case. :-)

This stuff costs a lot per quart. I have a 2009 1700 vulcan classic. Being a vtwin at 1700 with the configuration kawasaki runs with my bike typically ran on the warm side of the normal range, especially being a california bike with emissions to make it even leaner. I put on a bunch of aftermarket things e.g. hypercharger, power commander, and baffleless vance and hines. This led to a significant rise in temp, even after the dyno retune to richen it up. Between royal purple and engine ice, my temp is running right in the center of the range at 185. This stuff is expensive, but it's worth it.

HD Sportsters are known for top end noise. Compared to M1, this oil makes the motor run seemingly much smoother, and it sounds quieter. Very impressed.

I think the anti drainback valve on these is not so great. The media seems good and I am happy with the filtering overall but at startup this filter makes engine loud like there is no oil right away.

I have never had a filter related problem in all the years I have used these filters. Definitely work the few extra bucks over cheapo filters that are using paper elements.

I've been using mink oil to recondition my leather boots for years. It's easy to apply, and rejuvenates the leather. I highly recommend anyone with work boots, or classic leather hiking boots apply mink oil every few months to keep the leather in good shape and keep up their water resistance.

Let me start off by saying I have had horses all my life and so I have a lot of experience with cleaning and conditioning leather. I recently purchased two pair of expensive Frye boots and I wanted to keep them looking good as well as protect them from water and salt damage. I looked all over town for a good mink oil and could not find any. This mink oil is very clean looking and pretty much order free. I applied it with my fingers to work it into the leather. That way the heat from my hands distributes and penetrates the leather better. I also saved product by not wasting it on a cloth or other applicator. It washed off easily and my boots look and feel fantastic. It did darken the leather at bit but I like the color now better now than before, so that is fine with me. You may want to buff the leather after applying to remove any residue. I just let my boots sit a few days to absorb as much as possible. I would highly recommend this mink oil, and have done so with my own family.

Others may like that this is lightly scented, but I prefer unscented. Otherwise, it's okay.

Rant -I hate that just about everything we buy now is scented and dyed. If you want something without added perfumes and color, you have look for hypo allergenic versions (if available) or buy higher priced specialty products. Manufacturers make poorly designed washing machines that promote mold and mildew, so most detergents are now highly perfumed so your clothes don't smell. Son is allergic to Red #40, but it seems like those ground-up beetles are added to just about everything! Why does medicine have to be dyed?! Catsup needs to be redder?! Seriously?! ARRGGGHHH!!!!
