New CRV requires 0-20W oil and Castrol Synthetic is one of few available. I have always used Castrol and Amazon makes it easy to receive with subscription. Casttrol performs best in my automobiles.

I needed a 0-20W oil for my new Mazda CX5, and wanted to go synthetic, so the Castrol Edge was available for a few dollars less than the Mobil One equivalent, so I went for it, knowing BMW and other makes recommend the brand. So far so good. I think my mileage may even have improved slightly, but not 100% sure yet. Seems like a fine product that I can recommend!

This particular brand and grade is recommended by Mazda. This specific brand and viscosity range is not that common and if you lucky to find, it is priced on the high side. Thanks Amazon for making it easily available.

As to quality and performance there is no way for an individual like me to evaluate the merits of this oil as compared to others of the same caliber. Wished the car manufacturer had given general specifications rather than a specific brand -unless there are compelling reasons. That is for Mazda to answer (as well as other cars) pushing oil brands. Makes me wonder if one is scratching each other's back?

Any thoughts, consumers?

I do my best to keep some of these stuff on hand for when I am working on either of my cars or the motorcycle. I do most of my own automotive work (where time and money for tools permits) and I have a nasty habit of accidentally spilling fluids on the garage floor. This stuff is a real life saver and makes cleanup of my spills a breeze. I normally throw a few hand fulls of this on the spill and then rub it around with my foot until it is dry. After it sits for a while, I clean it up and dispose of it -simple!

Like to have oil dri on hand for small oil leaks on my driveway. After spending a small fortune on a new driveway a bag of oil dri goes a long way in protecting my investment. Perfect size, easy to store.

When possible I like to use orignal equipment on my GM vehicles. The factory filter use anti drain back valve if the engine requires it to prevent dry starts.

Best Deals for ACDelco PF61 Oil Filter

This oil felter is prefered to its newer model the PF61E and is hard to find. I thought I was getting one two pack because the picture showed two. Two would have been a good price but only one made it very expensive since I ordered two, thinking I was getting four. I will not send them back but I will be careful not to assume that just because the picture shows more than one, that I am getting more than one.

High zinc to use in the break in process for flat tappet cams and works very well! They use it in the shop when they build their nationwide and truck motors, not just for profit! They put this stuff to use!

I started using HiFlo filters after hearing so many Motorcycle mechanics recommend them as high quality. The Oil Filter is internal in my BMW bike (most screw-on filters mount outside the engine case) so the filter canister has to be clean, free of paper, labels, or anything that could dissolve in hot oil. These are packaged shrink-wrapped and in a box so the outside stays clean.

Lastly, these were hard to find in a local store, so I was very happy to find them sold by Powersport Superstore who offered a great price and lightning-fast shipping.

Packaged very well. Filters are individually shrinkwrapped to prevent contamination, rust, etc prior to installation.
