I have used these filters for a very long time. I buy them by the case. I love the rough rubberized coating on the end of the filter. Now for use on the filter solvents where you pour solvent through them into a barrel and then out the end of it. These work really good but only on small CALs It does not hurt to use slow flow either

There is no one in the professional auto world that trusts Fram!

Fram has a horrific recent history of manufacturing oil filters that fail. Their filters leak and do a poor job at filtering impurities. There are websites devoted to discussing oil and oil filters and Fram products are nearly universally criticized and avoided. There are also videos online that investigate Fram oil filters and they are nearly all universally negative.

Purolator, Wix (NAPA), Mann, Mahle, are some quality filters. Fram are the worst filters and you are risking harming your car.

Search the internet for yourself: Fram is the only oil filter company that has no way to contact them! No phone number or no email address. The other brands I mentioned have a way to reach them. Fram doesn't because doing so the phone line would be jammed with complaints.

Tried and tested many many times. I like fram because of price and convenience of finding one. I used to use store generic until I heard of the case against wally world regarding their super tech filters. Now, I just use this tried and time tested filter.

BTW, the black bottom is actually a plus for hand tightening the filter. It's made of wrinkly dried paint. True convenience tool free installation.

Since I got my first car, Fram has always been the oil filter brand I would reach for. The PH8A was the standard ford oil filter for years, And I went through plenty of them. Now my new vehicle has the ph3600 size. Although it is smaller, it is still the same great features as the PH8a. Always reliable and never a leak or ill fit. very consistent. It was a nice improvement whe they added the grip end to these as well, very hand when you have oil on your hand. .

As far as i'm concerned these filters are one of the best on the market.

They are easy to install and easy to remove.

If you are do-it-yourselfer, K&N is most convenient (nut to remove, mark to rotate the last 3/4 turn). If you are a racing enthusiast, Mobil can withstand the max pressure (615 psi, Bosch 500 psi). If you are interested in changing filter as late as possible, Bosch-Distance-Plus (not other models!) holds the max contaminants (29.1g, Mobil 28g very close). If you want max engine protection, Bosch is 99.9% efficient (Mobil 99.2% very, very close).

Some reviewer has said that Mobil filters are K&N filters on the inside. I disagree. Peeking inside the filter hole (you can see only the inner drum and hint of filter material) cannot tell an "expert" how the filter is constructed on the inside. Why does K&N not declare their data (as Mobil and Bosch Distance-Plus-only do?) People who are at the top always boldly publish their data, and do not depend on hype.

Yes, previous version of Mobil filters had flow problems. That has been long corrected.

I've been using Mobil-1 filters and oil for a while. I saw this on Amazon and the price was good. I ordered them, fit great on the 2003 Crown Vic, it's just a hard to get on and off. I really enjoy doing my own oil changes don't feel like I am being cheated and with Mobil-1 prices and quality makes it better on the wallet.

I am rating this product with 5 Stars because one can not find a better oil filter for this application and purpose. Moreover, the total cost is nearly unbelieveable. As a consequence, I would highly recomend Mobil 1 M1-210 Extended Performance Oil Filter.

For months, I have been searching for the best product to remove oil and transmission fluid stains from my driveway. The stains were months old and every product I used had failed. I was at an auto parts store over the weekend and decided to give Oil Eater a try. The price was very reasonable (about $11.00) and appeared to be very versatile. Once I got home, I poured some Oil Eater on a couple well-settled stains. After letting the product sit for about 15 minutes, I poured a little more on the stain and began lightly scrubbing the stain with a push broom. Finally, I rinsed the surface with a water hose and the oil and transmission stains disappeared! This product is wonderful -it has my endorsement.

I had this product on hand to clean my grill and one day got a really bad grease stain on a very nice blouse and thought I would try the oil eater on it, since it was runined anyways and to my surprise it came out.

I have been using it ever since to get stains out of my clothes and tell all my friends about this product.

I cant explain how awesome this stuff is. It works amazing at cleaning up oil from every surface I have tried it on. I've used this on automobiles, machinery, tools, oil stains in cement, on the BBQ, general purpose mopping/cleaning. Do be careful though, if you don't wear gloves than you will have VERY dry hands (think about it, it cleans up oil, your hands have natural oils). Their website has tons of details on recommended mixtures for different applications and how to use it in those applications. Also this is biodegradable so its "safer" than some other harsher chemicals.

While this is awesome for oil based grime, its not great for non oil based in some cases, like when I tried to clean cement that had general stains (not oil based) and it didn't do much. But then again the product didn't claim to do that, so I cant knock it for it.

Why 5 stars?

Have an oil mess? It cleans it! Its that simple. What would require scrubbing and scrubbing to get off you simply spray (maybe wait 30 seconds) and wipe off :-)
