The filter itself seems good, but the washer it comes with makes no sense. It is supposed to come with a drain plug seal, but instead comes with a thin piece of junk washer about half the diameter of the drain plug. I saw an earlier review saying the same thing and hoped the issue had been resolved. I had to order a new seal and I'll have to hope the old squished one will hold up until my next oil change. When the underbody is covered, it makes leak detection difficult, so I did myself the favor of cutting a small drain plug access hole so I can get to it without removing the underbody. I would recommend any DIYer to do this step for sanity reasons. Just measure over and drill a ~2 inch hole.

The rubber gasket for the oil filter housing is included and the correct size, but the washer for the drain plug is not the correct one for the 4.2L V8 motor. In fact, it is such a small washer, it is not for a drain plug at all. The picture provided by Amazon shows the correct sized drain plug washer, but that is not what's included. I sent an e-mail to Amazon regarding this, so we'll see if that gets updated. Perhaps somehow my Mann HU835 1/Z filter kit was a one off with the wrong washer, but I find that highly unlikely. Perhaps the other OEM filters, Mahle or Hengst, come with the corect drain plug washer. For reference, this was installed on a B6 S4.

I use Royal Purple XPR 5w-30 motor oil in my 2008 Corvette matched with the 10-48 RP oil filter. As soon as I changed the oil and filter to RP from whatever the dealer had in it, the car has had a noticeably smoother idle and seemed to sound better going up through the RPM. The engine sounds just plain smooth. I will stick w/Royal Purple.

I purchased top of the line products like Royal Purple oil and filters. Truthfully, I have no idea if the extra cost will prolong the life of my 2008 Chevy Silverado, but I really hope so. I have 65,000 miles and hope to keep it forever. I wish I could be more specific about the product, but there is really no way to look into the motor. even though when typing in the bike to see compatibility it says it does not fit a 1983 Suzuki sp250, it does as the engines from a dr-250 and sp-250 are the same. K&N filter selector confirms this.

I haven't used these yet but I can vouch for these as a few people on my Honda Civic 8th gen forums have used these and recommend them. I bought these when there was a rebate special from Valvoline. Much cheaper than Mobil 1 Synthetic and I'm pretty sure the differences aren't THAT drastic. They're in the carton waiting for another 2k miles for an oil change. Definitely recommended!!

I have been using Valvoline SynPower Motor Oil SAE 5W-20 for my Honda Accord for quite a few years now. This is the best engine oil I know of. So I signed up Amazon's engine oil subscription service the moment I'm aware of it.

I was very shocked when I received the case of 6 bottles of this oil. I never saw any engine oil bottles that look so old and the printing on the labels have smear all over. They do not look like the products I used to buy from local shops. And I decided to drive back to my local Pep Boys to see what their bottles really look like. Their bottle look fresh and clean. And all labels are clear, no smear at all.

I don't know where the Amazon seller gets their stock. It seems like they can not sell the stock for a long time and finally got this clever idea of using Amazon subscription.

I finally replaced my engine oil (in my Accord) with this oil. I still remembered that my car will drive almost silky smooth right after each engine oil change. But not this time. By the way, my car has only 30K miles.

I cancelled the engine oil subscription yesterday and would not recommend this service to anyone. You'd better try Walmart as the other reviewer suggested.

3-In-One Oil is one of those products that has been around for years and should be in every home, just like band aids and first aid cream. This quickly and easily will stop those annoying squeaks when you open and close your doors by putting a few drops on the door hinges. A little goes a long way, so unless you have lots of problems, a 3 oz. size will last you for a while.

I actually bring this on vacation when I stay in a condo or hotel room. I can't tell you how many times I have encountered a squeaky bathroom or bedroom door that is sure to wake up either me or my wife depending on who gets up first. Just a couple of drops of this product--and problem solved.

This works more effectively than WD-40 at stopping squeaks for the long term. While WD-40 will stop a squeaky door, it really does so only on a short term basis--sometimes as short as a couple of days before the squeak returns. By contrast, with this product you will not hear a squeak again for months.

I also put a few drops into a lock that I use outside all year round to keep it working smoothly.

Bottom line: I have listed just a couple of uses for this product, but there are many more. Just keep a can handy in your house and you won't regret it.

The day that I got this in the mail I fixed a squeaky bed, 3 squeaky doors, 2 pocket multi-tools, and a squeaky chair. It's easy to forget that a lot of household devices require occasional lubrication, and WD-40 is not designed for most of them. I went to two or three stores looking for this, but needed it quickly. One of my deadbolts was starting to stick and I was worried I would be locked out or it would break my key. Being a busy working person with a long commute, I gave in and bought this simple item from Amazon. This particular one says motor oil and probably differs from exactly what I was looking for, but it fixed the deadbolt up with just a drop or two. I also lubricated my other deadbolt and a padlock I use regularly. They all are in much better working order. None of these were 'motors', but the oil did the job quickly, easily and cleanly.

This product is the same model number as the old Xtended Guard filter: Model XG4967.

This was designed to run synthetic oils and filter at the same high levels of other performance oil filters, but beats them on the price.

I usually find the filter to be cheaper here on Amazon than at my local Walmarts or Auto supply stores, especially with the two options for free shipping.

It's an oil filter, so not much to say. It fit and sealed well. Quality seems good, but without taking it apart and looking at the construction, I just have to 'trust' the Fram name. I do like the "sure grip" feature (rubberized end cap to make hand-tightening the filter easier. When removing the filter, the rubber also gives my filter wrench a better grip, as well.)

Ive used this oil in past with good results! Its made by Nippon petroleum a japanese oil company. It worked well not just in my Mazda3 but also both my Ford Edge SUVs! Honda genuine 10w-30 is a fine oil for any of your Honda power equipment. The only problem I have is most retailers like Amazon and others screw people on the price. Come on, eight dollars for a quart of conventional oil that is the equivalent of Valvoline, Mobil or any other quality oil company. If you go to Rural King you can buy it for $3.49 a quart, which is exactly what it should be selling for.
